Giulivo Hotel & Village

Old and decadent villas with insufficient equipment for the number of people they are rented for. Basement musty and very dangerous for a child. Reception staff dry and unfriendly. Children's play area unkempt and dirty. Never again!

There are only two good things to say about this hotel. The beach is really close and it's convenient and the rooks are clean and nice. But the service is terrible and so is the food. And the resort is very small, we were there in September and almost everything was closed, the people are not nice and the service is not good.

I don't understand the rave reviews for this hotel, maybe whoever writes them is used to it differently but I won't go into this as it's all susceptible. Fair cleaning of the common areas, while in the room very hurried, bed never made, only the sheets badly ironed and never changed for more than a week. Restaurant service with a maitre d', a waiter and a gang of boys who, with great will, tried to manage the situation, only that very often they took away the plate you were still eating and left the other dirty on the table. I understand the haste in serving and dislodging groups of the elderly but all this is excessive. Temperature in the room set at 16 degrees, against all current regulations, but the icing was in the room where the air conditioner had been installed, without any possibility of intervening , in order to fire the jet on whoever was lying on the bed, and therefore, given the period, with easily imaginable consequences. Beach service, another sore point, deck chairs and sunbeds virtually assigned and never worthy of even the slightest sanitation, no checks, I exclude from the context a lifeguard who deserves praise for his availability. We would still have to say that it was forbidden to bring 30 cent bottles of water into the fridge. from the supermarket, but use theirs at 1.50 each. Last but not least, if you left the second card of the room inserted to find a refrigerated environment when you returned, you could no longer find it because it had been removed. How indecent. I felt treated very badly. I am an 83 year old woman who has been going to this hotel for at least 13 years, always accompanied by a person and my niece.. on balance I will have given more than 30,000 euros... how many of my pensions do you give them... but the senior center in the town where I live offered this, and so I went. This year they couldn't handle a fever that started after two days of stay, not a doctor (for a fee) who could visit me or a nurse who swabbed me for Covid. At 5.00 pm my daughter was told that we had to leave the hotel by evening... she was in Calabria (4/5 hours away from us) and precisely on the day of the general taxi strike... I called two of them so I they said.... can you put an 83 year old woman on the side of the road right off the bat??? I really felt treated like trash... yet they know me here, I repeated to myself... yet this they did: they put me on the street as if I were really the last one.... what an unpleasant experience.... A structure that it hosts GROUPS of the elderly, shouldn't it have a doctor who can intervene on call???? Truly an indecency... and don't tell me about the pandemic that requires special precautions... even more so a doctor who can intervene and provide for it... otherwise keep closed and wait for it to pass...

Unfortunately I have to put one star. Only the animation can be said to be adequate, but since I don't have children who use it, I'd say that for the rest, it's really below zero. I am not a person who cares much about cleaning or eating, but the minimum wage… !!!!

The location is really nice, the hotel is clean. The food is not good, if you eat seafood maybe you will get something decent but if you take meat, for example meatballs, it is very hard to understand what is in the ingredients in it....
