Ander Hotel in Brunico

Booked a 2 nights stays for 2 people and a small dog. Upon booking the room (as stated on the website if you bring a pet) they are supposed to give rooms without carpet but a hard wood floor , also with an extra charge but I was happy to pay for it. The room given was large and spacious but with carpet which is not ideal for pets.
I’ve asked the receptionist a room change and to get what stated on the website but they couldn’t change the room, had to ask twice to get a room change for the following day. It’s annoying not to be able to unpack your own belongings and try to relax properly due to the room change for the following day.

Checked in at 6:50 pm, bed set up was with 2 single beds. We requested to set it up as a double bed as we are a couple and we wanted to sleep close to each other but they couldn’t change it. A 4 stars hotel without house keeping not even a 7pm in the evening is simply not acceptable.
The cleaning of the room was very weak, found hairs on the pillow and sheets, water glasses were filthy, same as the water bottle cap they leave for the guest in the room. On top of that there were pieces of food from previous guest scattered around the floor, I didn’t see it at first but my dog found it, again not something acceptable for a 4 stars hotel.

Breakfast is poor, it finishes at 10am but at 9:05 most food it’s already gone with very little replacement.

Probably the only positive thing is the Location close to the city centre.

I appreciate the effort to try and make up for the poor service given offering a bottle of Prosecco but simply it doesn’t cut it.
We booked a couple of days to relax and not to have additional stress simply because they do not deliver what they are supposed to do. Apparently the ownership and management have changed and the service has gone down.
Won’t go back in the future.
