Hotel Castello Budoni in Budoni

We stayed at Hotel Castello in Budoni at the end of July and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect with stunning views, and waking up early to watch the sunrise is absolutely worth it. Andrea and his team were so friendly and welcoming, creating a lovely atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. Our family room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool and the panoramic views made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive to San Teodoro, making it a great base for exploring the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay. Amazing views from the property and room. The only negative issue i faced was there was barely any mobile network inside the rooms and the wifi was non existent.

First of all, it was not easy to find it following Google maps and old, confusing road signs. Once we arrived, we were rewarded with a beautiful view of the gulf of Porto Ottiolu. New and clean structure. Helpful and professional staff. Good breakfast (excellent tart and croissant, plenty of fruit) with a sea view. Recommended

Excellent in every way: the location, the staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend a few days, this is it. Convenient to the beaches and services. Compliments to everyone for how they manage this place!

Andrea, the manager of the hotel, was waiting for us to check in, out of hours due to our delayed flight. He was also very helpful every time we asked him to recommend us a place to eat or activities to do around. His attitude was so kind at all times, definitely a great host.

The time we spent in the hotel was very quiet, is a very cosy and small one. The decoration is very nice, they have seats and tables all around. The swimming pool has beautiful views to the sea, like all the rooms. We really enjoyed the breakfast, where we could chose from a menu as many things as we liked, and the service was really fast. The staff who was making the rooms were very nice too.

However, the waiter who was being very nice all days, changed his attitude to us the last day at breakfast, not bringing us some of the things that we order, rushing us for the check out with a very mean and rude attitude and making facial expressions. Is a shame that because of that single last thing, we will have bad taste in the last minute about our vacation. But we had a 4.9/5 holidays thanks to all the rest.

The warm welcome from Andrea was a joy after a long journey. Throughout our stay Andrea assisted us in many ways and answered our numerous questions with great patience! The location has stunning views, it has a fab clean pool, rooms were clean, fresh and renewed daily by the two lovely cleaning ladies, who too were most amiable and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, croissants of many description, cereals, yogurt, lovely coffee, meats & cheese, bread rolls, cake, juice etc - simply delightful, all while overlooking the fab vista. On our day of departure we had a late flight, Andrea let us leave our luggage in the reception area and let us lounge by the pool for the day - thank you so much. As you will see, this is a family run hotel and i could not hold them to fault in any area, they work very hard and deliver a fantastic stay. It was also a pleasure to have a chat with Andrea's Mother and Father, albeit through my broken Italian!! Would we go back, certainly - and shall do. Would we bring our teenage daughter, probably not as there is not much close by for young people without a car journey - that said, for me and my partner, tranquillity is what we were looking for! "Didn't like" would not be appropriate as we liked everything about the location - however, i would point out that the website could do with an slight update, as we were hoping to avail of the shuttle coach to beaches and town but it seemed as that was no longer an option. If only the hotel provided small snacks at lunch time and even a few evening dishes, i feel that this would increase interest in a visit but sadly neither were available but i understand that too; being a family business there is limited hands. Either way we made do and had some wonderful meals locally and got snacks for the room fridge. As said, we really liked everything very much - even the adventurous drive up to the hotel is fun!!
