Extremely disappointing experience – we do not recommend this hotel.
Our room was extremely cold throughout our stay. Despite repeatedly asking for the heating to be turned on, nothing changed, and we were literally freezing. Because of this, we had to leave one night earlier and lost a fully prepaid night. We requested compensation, but it was completely refused.
The overall atmosphere felt negative and uncomfortable. Four dogs were walking freely around common areas, including near the kitchen. The owners live inside the hotel and were constantly present, yet their behaviour felt unfriendly and unwelcoming – no greetings, no kindness, and no willingness to help.
We also saw family members taking food from the breakfast buffet and bringing it back into the kitchen. The property itself feels very outdated; for example, the lift is extremely old and only painted over to hide its condition.
The most upsetting part happened when we explained why we were leaving early and asked again for compensation. The owner raised her voice and made highly inappropriate and discriminatory comments towards us. This was deeply shocking and unacceptable. We have video evidence recorded by our daughter confirming exactly what was said.
Because of the seriousness of this incident, we are considering further legal steps. We also expect a public apology for the humiliating and discriminatory behaviour we experienced.
We left hurt, disappointed, and honestly shocked. Sadly, this hotel has left us with a negative impression of Cavalese as a whole.
We absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you are in Cavalese or around and need a place to stay for a day or more (I was the latter) this is literally the best option. Family owned and operated at its best.
Unfortunately I had a motorcycle accident at the Lavase Pass and ended up in this town by accident though the accident turned out fine… I am okay physically and after my stay here I am leaving even better than when I arrived.
The location, the rooms, the food, the service…. Everything was 5/5.
The family and staff made me feel welcomed and helped out at any request… where to go eat, what to go do, renting a bicycle, doing my laundry, booking a taxi and train ticket….
I have been around many parts of the world and stayed in Airbnbs, Hostels, 5 Star Hotelsn and I honestly must say that this comes very close to one of the best boutique concepts I have come across.
If you make it down and stay here or even grab mommas tiramisu it is worth it.
I will attach some photos and videos though it doesn’t do justice - just stay here and don’t look anywhere else…

Our stay at Hotel Laurino was truly exceptional. As a family, we felt as if we had stepped into a fairytale — everything about the atmosphere was magical and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious, featuring fresh local products that gave us a real taste of the region. The charm of this place left a lasting impression on us, and we will remember it fondly for a long time.

Just stayed 3 nights at the hotel and loved it. Would really recommend this hotel. The staff was really passioned about their work.
For breakfast there was a variety of food so we enjoyed that a lot.
You/we prefer de sauna is included, but I really liked the way they do it here. We could choose a time slot so the spa (sauna, infra red, jacuzzi, and more) was available just for us for 75 minutes. So we could really relax in this private spa!

Very nice apartment, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast with food and drinks of BEST QUALITY! A big variety of loose tea leaves, tasty bread of all types, fresh fruits and cakes, a big variety of sweet and salty stuff, in short: best Italian breakfast ever!
