I do not normally leave reviews, either bad or good. This was my second stay at the Hotel Sassongher and it was just as wonderful as the first trip. This year I took my son to enjoy some springtime skiing. The staff is 100% the best of anywhere I have ever been. Saro the bartender and Paula the concierge are exceptional. Paula can help you with all of your questions from skiing plan to restaurant recommendations. If you've never skied the Dolomites its not like most other places because its huge. Literally 12 ski resorts connected, 750 miles of slopes and 450 chairlifts. So believe me, you will have questions. I wish I could remember everyone's names because the shuttle drivers, front desk and wait staff are all equally as awesome. The shuttle drivers pick you up steps from the awesome ski room each morning and drop you off at the lifts. They also pick you up all day long every 15 minutes or so. They will also pick you up and drop you off in town up until 8-9 pm I think. The spa/sauna's and hot tubs are wonderful. The outdoor hot tub has a view like no other. I wish the hot tubs were a few degrees hotter but that's just my personal preference. There are multiple Saunas at varying temperatures . be sure to ask for a tour of the amenities as it can be confusing at fist as some are outside on the roof area and some are in the spa. I cant recommend the Hamman/Turkish Bath enough. I got a massage one day by the female masseuse and it was perfect. The food is extraordinary! There is a Hors d'oeuvres bar every night that can be a meal itself. The list of foods on the bar is too vast to name everything but there is always a salad, vegetables, breads, cheeses, multiple meats such as Salmon, Meatballs, all kinds of other fishes, etc. Then you get two main courses you chose from a list of about 10 different options everyday. There is also a huge dessert bar. Breakfast is much the same with made to order eggs as well as the bar. If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend it and we will be going back for the third time next year. We will go back until we have skied everything we want to as it will take many trips due to so many ski areas and slopes. Its truly one of the most special places I've ever been.

easy 5 minute van ride to and from gondola. never had to wait staff in hotel were among the best staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. they were all attentive to our every need and as nice and accommodating as can be. rooms always clean we had a very spacious room for 3 kids and another room from 2 adults which worked perfectly. paola our concierge during our stay helped organize plan for dinners on and off site and also local wine shops along with ski rental logistics. i would definitely stay here again

We stayed for two nights in August, the hotel and the staff are exceptional. The concierge was excellent as well as the culinary experience in the restaurant. The SPA ara is very nice and the facilites are top notch. The bar Manager is an asset to the hotel, we had the best Espresso Martini ! . A perfect family owned hotel, traditional and modern at the same time, can't wait to return! V & I

Exceptional experience. This was my first trip to the Dolomites to ski and it surpassed all expectations. The staff at Hotel sassongher is simply one of the best I have ever experienced. They went above and beyond to not only ensure my stay at their hotel was perfect but they assisted me in planning my ski days, restauraunts and general info about the surrounding area. The breakfast buffett was exceptional as was the dinners in the evening. The hot tubs, saunas and spa were perfect after a day on the slopes. There was a piano bar with a singer every evening that was exceptional as was the bartender Saro. He is quite the character. Paula the consierge is simply the best! There was another young lady at the desk that i forgot her name that was extremley helpful in providing suggestions. The shuttle to town and to the ski slopes was perfect and flawless. Also the ski room with boot and glove dryers was top notch. On my last day i had to leave at 3 am to drive to Munich for my return flight to the states. There was a breakfast and snacks waiting for me at the desk for my journey. This was very thoughful and very much appreciated. Not only will I return but I will be bringing all my fiends as well.

I just finished a week long stay. I must say it was one of the most enjoyable expeiences I have ever had. From the moment i arrived to the moment I left i felt like they really valued my stay. The cutomer service was top notch and beyond anywhere i have ever travled. From the front desk staff to all the waiters, bartender (who is quite the character) to the awesome Concierge Paula. Everything was perfect! I injured my leg on my first day and Paula helped me plan my ski days to best avoid my limitations due to injury. The piano bar was quite relaxing and the singer was awesome. All meals were great and the suttle system was erfect to pick me up to go back and forth to the slopes. I also tremendously enjoyed the spa system and especially the outdor hottub overlooking the city. On the day i left i had to leave at 3Am to drive to the Munich airport and they had a breakfast waiting for me for my trip. I will 100% be back and bring my friends with me next time. Great Job and thank you.

We just finished a 6 night stay at Hotel Sassongher. I must say everything far exceeded our expectations. WOW...sums it up. The friendliest, most helpful staff...Jackie, Cha, Greta, Enrico to name a few. The saunas, hot tubs and steam room were beyond amazing. Such a great way to finish off a hard day of skiing. The breakfast and dinners were fabulous, lots of options that changed daily. The van shuttle to the lifts was efficient and quick. We barely had to wait for it. The housekeeping was the best we have ever encountered in a hotel. They were behind the scenes making sure our room was always tidy, beds made and then turned down after dinner. We never had to ask for clean towels or for the dirty ones to be removed. The room and the entire place were spotless. The concierge helped us every step of the way and never made me feel like I was being annoying with all the questions. We left there feeling very spoiled, like a queen and king! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We spent 6 days in this quietly luxurious hotel very well placed for skiing around the Dolomites (Sellaronda). Wonderful and modern spa with a very skilled masseuse. Great service (was Hercule Poirot as a guest waiter at the restaurant, or was it just the moustache that got me confused? 🥸 ), and seemless tranfer to the ski lifts. A very skilled and mischievous barman helped us spend very nice evenings with lovely live music. A very nice and homely atmosphere, although the outdated decoration, may not be to everyone's taste.

The hotel is very smart and, although has a lot of rooms, never felt especially busy. It’s a 25-35’ walk to town (uphill on the way back) but the two helpful shuttle buses mean the only challenge is getting home from dinner. The gym and spa area and gym are large and excellent. Most importantly, all the staff were fantastically friendly and fell over backwards to look after you.
