Hotel Degli Aranci in Vieste

We arrived at this hotel a few hours ago and will be able to give a more informed opinion only in a few days. So far, we have only positive impressions: the hotel is in a very convenient location, close to a partner beach and not far from the picturesque city center, a short walk (3-400 meters). The room is spacious, bright, and very clean, with a sea view. The bathroom has a whirlpool bathtub, a discreet breakfast, and meticulous anti-COVID measures. The staff, from reception to housekeeping, is very helpful, kind, and professional.

I stayed at this hotel for only one night. I booked a standard room, and upon arrival I was upgraded to a superior room for the same price. The location is convenient, very close to the beach and not far from the city center. The building is large and not new, but in very good condition, clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and always available. The room is large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom new, and the terrace overlooking the sea. The only problem is that the parking is a bit small for the size of the hotel. If I return to Vieste for transit or on vacation, I will return to this hotel.

Visited for 3 nights as part of a Riviera tour. 2 coach parties arrived at the same time but this was dealt with efficiently. I loved the hotel after 2 chain hotels it was a welcome breath of air. It’s in a very good location… an easy walk to the old town and very close to the beach. The room was of good standard, and thank you again for catering for my gluten intolerance so well. I was never in doubt about what to eat, especially the excellent way you mark the antipasti selection! View from our window!

Situated 5minutes from the beach (the hotel has its own private area) and ten minutes from the old town the hotel is ideally situated. Recently refurbished the rooms were pleasant, light and mist have a small balcony. There are many public areas both inside and out with comfortable seating and some shade outdoors. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. The shower is a bit of a problem being much on the small side with switchable water sprays from all directions non of which I considered adequate. The food can best be described as delicious but very expensive. A full dinner would cost in the region of €60 per person plus drinks. We were part of a group and had two included meals which I considered memorable.

Beautiful hotel in a good location, near to beach, and use of hotel sun beds in the beach and round their pool. good breakfast choices and very good evening meals.

Like a lot of people who have reviewed this hotel previously we stayed here for three nights as part of a Riviera travel company tour of Puglia. Of the three hotels we stayed in on this tour it was the most Italian in style and the least business corporate and a lot of what other British visitors have complained about are things that enamoured it to me. Yes it is a bit of a strange layout, being two wings, each with their own lifts and there is a separate breakfast room in one wing and the main restaurant room is in the other separate wing, which takes a bit of navigation first time round. Yes the two lifts in the main building are small and not the quickest, so you will need to queue on arrival, especially if you are part of a party. But after this they were perfectly fine. The rooms are very good ours being quite spacious with balcony equipped with a small table and chairs? It had a Large comfortable king-sized bed (was the usual two singles joined together but you could hardly tell). There was a decent sized wardrobe with a built in safe and the room benefited from very efficient air conditioning. A small but functional bathroom with a walk-in shower unit with a strange built in massage unit. Tried to initially use this but it wasn’t very practical, so kept to the efficient shower head most of the time. The food at both the breakfast service and the two evening meals we had included was very good. The evening restaurant service starts promptly at 7 and is the usual anti-pasti table followed by primo the second courses, and the service is typical of more Italian style hotels in this part of the country. So, if you decide to attack the anti pasti table before the staff are ready you will be told to sit down. It is not the staff being rude, it is you not understanding the procedure. In fact all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, especially the staff at the small hotel bar. Yes, the drinks prices are more expensive than you will pay at a bar in the Old Town, but please show me a hotel where they are not. And one of the big pluses is the hotel location. It is in a quiet residential area but only a five-minute walk to the nearest beach or 10 minutes to reach the Old Town. There is a church next door that does chime on the hour but it stops at 10pm and the first peel is at 8am. All the public areas of the hotel were comfortable including the nice outside pool area, with its small unheated pool ( or at least it was at the beginning of May). All in all we enjoyed the stay here.

Stayed here with a tour group. Decent sized room. Excellent shower. Most rooms appear to have balconies. Staff set up a nice welcoming soft drink and snack gathering. Breakfast was very good with all the usual items. Dinner and lunch options were available if you didn’t want to take the short walk to the town center. We enjoyed our stay.

A great family run hotel which was refreshing after 2 large impersonal chain hotels. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a clean, modern room where everything worked as it should and had a large walk in shower. We did not have a balcony but didn’t expect one. Dinner service was a bit impersonal but we were in a large group and there were several such groups to serve so it’s quite understandable that they want to get on with the job. There are 2 circular tables for self service antipasti and loads of food on them but be sure to visit both for the biggest variety. The other courses were well cooked. The lifts got a bit overwhelmed when a bus load arrived so it was best to avoid them at that time.
