Hotels on first line in Sicily

This hotel has so much potential but there are several odd practices that need to be changed. Food lukewarm at best, although pretty good products. Lovely grounds and beach area. AI drinks too small, shops mostly closed

Dinner - Same as lunch but with more options including a roast station which changed each day from meat to fish. Drinks during meals - beer, red and white wine on tap as were water and soft drinks

  The room - The room was made up each day but not cleaned. You knew when the maids were coming as the hallways echoed loudly of the trollies and them shouting from room to room to each other

Breakfast ran from 7:30 to 9:30 we didn't make it down for this. Lunch - plenty of choice from local cuisine to pizza, burgers, chips etc. Fresh fruit and ice cream was available at lunch only

If you required a kettle, iron and anything else you had to rent them. Someone told us in the resort a kettle was €30 for the week! Food - We stayed as an all inclusive guest

If you like a lay in or are a light sleeper be aware that day or night the corridors offer very little peace. The room had no amenities other than a TV and an empty fridge

This is a gorgeous resort hotel that has excellent service, beautiful location. The pool is next level gorgeous next to sea. Excellent staff and concierge can book day trips

We really enjoyed our stay here, the pools are great, the location is gorgeous, and the morning yoga offered for free outside was a great way to start the day

Beautiful property with lovely pool and ladders into the sea. Staff very friendly & great dining options. Very peaceful resort with lovely views of Etna from the sea shore.

Everything was clean and well taken care of. The staff there was lovely, there just weren’t enough of them! It was clear it was just after high season.

Absolutely amazed by this place. Beautiful, clean, and the friendliest staff. My favorite was Claudia, who showed me Adonai Eremo AND gave the best ceramic painting class

We were very happy with our stay at the hotel. It’s a beautiful resort with delicious restaurants, excellent tennis and padel courts, as well as great activity programs

Erasmo at the beach pool is very friendly and helpful. Having your own transport is helpful, as it is about a 30 minute walk to a supermarket or to Portichello, where there are bars and restaurants

A trip for my mums Birthday! The hotel was beautiful and clean. Multiple pools to choose from, and the option of a sea swim

I’d recommend going early to avoid this. • ‘D Club’ Exclusivity: Large areas of the hotel, including parts of the restaurant, café, pool, beach, and even a private lounge, were reserved for ‘D Club’ guests

Area down to the sea from the hotel is ALOT of steps, quite steep - however it is the option of a small private ***** for hotel guests to use

The location of the hotel would make us not come back! A 15/20 min walk from the nearest station down a very dangerous road, with no pathway for majority of it! High speed road, and quite bendy

This hotel is lovely and clean very modern views where good but it’s in the middle of nowhere no shop near no entertainment during the day or night staff don’t understand English they are so rude breakfast ok if you like cakes hotdogs the walk to the harbour from the hotel is so scary no foot paths the cars are so fast it’s just unreal cleaners cleaned every day but only changed sheets once The boat...

Hotel is fantastic, only slight draw back was the pool restaurant had flies landing on the food

Just come back from our stay in room 5303. We upgraded to signature level and felt it was well worth doing so The resort is lovely, well kept and the atmosphere was great. They made sure you had the best experience

Amazing, all you need! Amazing selection of food and drinks. Great service. Lots to do onsite. Great location for day trips and also offered shuttle bus trips.

Two that stood out were our maid Angela who looked after our room and Angelo who looked after us each breakfast time in the signature level breakfast room. It's well worth doing some of the excursions

We had wonderful service and the food was varied enough in the buffet restaurant. The bookable restaurants are amazing and we highly recommend the Thai

The beach was clean and comfortable and the pools are welcoming with enough space to sit and relax

Bizarre system of being required to buy credit in advance for bar/ food with any unspent surplus retained by the hotel. Beach and pool towels available for hire! Felt generally ripped off

We had an incredible time at the hotel! Everything was perfect, from our spacious, modern seafront room with breathtaking views to the fantastic amenities that truly made it feel like a home away from home

The abundant breakfast and diverse restaurant options were a treat! The hotel’s sandy beach were wonderful and the Spa and Acqua park were fantastic bonuses

First of all the rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Fresh linen and towel provided each day. The pool areas are clean, tidy and family friendly. There is entertainment on around throughout the day

The worst thing for me are the beds. It would have been more comfortable sleeping outside by the pool. I have one night left here and I am genuinely dreading going to bed tonight

The entertainment team were exceptional, always ready to meet you with a smile and friendly face. Great food and drinks and in a beautiful setting, with easy access to cefalu. I will definitely be back again

Rooms were clean, staff were helpful, the pool, private beach, games room, and other facilities were great, and breakfast had a good variety. I would stay here again.

We wanted a beach front hotel and all inclusive. This hotel is good for our needs. Great beach and sea. All inclusive was fine. Plenty of nice food and drinks. All inclusive all we can’t fault it and would go back.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Right on the beach with ocean views from my room. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The property has easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants.

The hotel is very nice. The pool is good for all there is even a kids pool. The staff is very kind and the food was delicious. The game room is perfect fo yuths and a great game. The rooms were perfect.

The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The animation team is great, the staff very friendly, and everything is kept clean – both in the rooms and on the beach

Apparently, the hotel was completely renovated in 2009, but it seems they missed some rooms. Anyway, the price per night compensates for all deficiencies

Easy parking with payable. Big market near the hotel every morning. Rooms are enough and higher landscape.

For those who might want cup noodles for supper, you better do it before 22:30 :) For the location, it was quite far away from the city centre, there was bus stop right next to hotel, but the bus never came… we had waited for at least 30 minutes but still couldn’t see our bus coming

The faster way is to ride scooters. If you’re heading to pier / airport / train station carrying large luggage, you better ask the staffs to call taxi for you, which cost about €15 from hotel to Palermo Centrale station

If we needed hot water, we could only get it from the bar which closed at 22:30, meaning that if we got back to the hotel later than 22:30, there’d be no hot water for the whole night

However, they didn’t offer kettle for boiling hot water, and their reason was that we had booked a standard room and hence no kettles were provided

The room was decent, clean, and tidy. It's close to the sea with a private access path, though it's not a sandy beach

The Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. I would like to compliment Michele and Samuele at the beach and swimming pool for their excellent service

Amazing as usually! I stayed there more than 20 times and always happy. Reception team is friendliest ever, Antonella very cute. Room was amazing even had sunbed on balcony

The swimming pool is open normally, and the hotel has obviously been renovated and is not in a very old state. Everything is good, and you don't need to walk to the 534 bus to the city center, but the time is very random

Right on the water with views of the sea from both rooms. Very relaxed, nicely appointed, open and modern yet natural feeling. Loved the art exhibit on every floor

The service was up to par. The toilet was substandard, the floor was slippery, and the room facilities were old. The yogurt at breakfast was in a bucket, not a cup! Omelettes were available for an additional fee.

Pool is not great but nicly located at top floor. What I really fid nit like is how they handle luggage storage

It’s kept in open room close to reception theoretically reception watches over it but when i came to pick up my luggage stuff at front desk was overwhelmed with guests and just walked in took my stuff no questions asked (and people in reception weee different shift that did not know me, so ai would not be v supportive if anyone could walk in and take your luggage)

Palermo is a large and bustling city, but the hotel's free parking is easily accessible before the city centre gets busy

An old hotel on the outskirts of the city that offers good value for money, especially for those travelling by car

Quality-price ratio is quite good on this hotel. However, if you are walking there it is a bit far from the main attractions and you have to walk through a very shady area during the night time

Rooms are spacious but old, would need some renovation, for example most power plugs did not work on our room. The breakfast was quite good for the price

This resort exceeded our expectations in service, accommodation and experience especially during their quiet season. Service: The staff is incredibly helpful, warm and welcoming. Truly felt like a 5-star experience

An absolute must if you are looking for somewhere to unplug and relax while looking out at the Mediterranean Sea

Amenities: Pool is stunning (dont forget the beach chairs as well), gym is limited and gets the job done, and we looked forward to the delicious breakfast spread every morning (plus a view out to the ocean)

Whether by the pool during the day or at the bar in the evening, her positive energy and professionalism stood out. She’s truly an asset to the resort and deserves recognition for the great job she’s doing

Our stay in Sicily was simply fantastic! The hotel itself is beautifully designed and offers breathtaking views of the sea. The location is perfect for enjoying the beauty of the Sicilian coast

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort in Sicily! The place is stunning , a perfect combination of beautiful surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, and warm hospitality

While the rooms are a bit dated, the pool and beach facilities make this an absolute gem of a resort! The unspoiled views of Isola Bella by the beach and gorgeous view of Mt Etna at the pool are breathtaking

We spent a fantastic week in this hotel. It was amazing to have direct access to a beautiful private beach as well as an infinity pool. There were plenty of loungers to relax

The rooms are old and outdated and in dire need of renovation. The good part about the hotel are the facilities, the pool and private beach are astonishing

The location was great, right on the sea side and close to the train station. The shuttle service provided by the hotel that takes you into Taormina was also excellent. The staff were all super friendly too

Una is a spectacular hotel. Wonderful staff, location amazing including a shuttle bus to the town. Beautiful daily breakfast, incredible views of Mt Etna and pool. Would stay again in a heartbeat

It’s not a luxury place by any means, but if you’re looking for something affordable, practical, and decently located, this is a solid option. I would consider staying here again for short trips or business visits

The views over the sea are so beautiful while playing golf and having a drink in the 19th is the best on the world

We went for a 4-day golf clinic with Andrea Zanardelli which was a great, top experience. The golf courses were wonderful, views from everywhere were stunning and the staff really helpful and all very friendly

We would love to go back and also take advantage of the spa, beach, swimming pool and all the other activities available. I would highly recommend this resort for sport or relaxing!!

The pool is probably one of the largest in the EU. The beach extends hundreds of yards with hundreds of loungers, umbrellas, full bar and food service. The breakfast buffet is one of the best you'll find

Many 5 star resorts can be really packed with guests, making it hard to find a lounge at the pool or beach, get a table at a restaurant, massage, etc

45 holes of outstanding links golf, a variety of restaurants with the finest dining experiences on the island, a massive spa complex with an extensive of unique treatments, therapeutic pools, the best equipped fitness room/gym, etc, etc

the rooms are a bit outdates, curtains are dirty and I booked a room with seaviews but I could see the tiniest bit of sea. Overall ok, beds comfortable, nice staff but overpriced.

Not a bad hotel, with its own sandy beach across the road. Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, towels for free. The hotel is located next to the Catania airport, which is not a problem and is rather a plus

Near to STM. Very convenient. Car park EUR8 per night. Open car park.

Although there is a bus stop directly outside there were few buses and no indication of a timetable so you cant rely on a bus and taxi's very expensive

Rooms were nice, roomy balcony. Only slight negative was hotel situated a bit far out from the centre

The only room complaint was that the AC did not cool the room to a comfortable temperature. We did not have any food or drink here. I would not recommend this hotel unless you need something close to the airport

The hotel,setting is beautiful,the staff very nice pool is beautiful and clean,rooms are nice and clean and nice views,cleaners very nice and in every day,beach is lovely there are big stones/pebbles but that’s they type of beach it is natural

The staff are attentive and friendly, some of whom you can tell really love their job. There is an onsite mini mart where you can purchase items such as cigarettes, suncream, beach wear and bags

We came towards the end of the season and these activities were still offered, as well as air con still being on in the rooms despite what is stated on the information

The pool area is perfect for lounging around, also offering activities such as water gym at a couple of points through the day

The evening also offers entertainment at the pool bar, doing quizzes for all nationalities and live music

Me and my partner have just had a weeks stay at this resort and from reading the reviews I was skeptical but I can honestly say it’s one of the best places we have stayed. The resort itself is absolutely stunning

The room was clean and had a wonderful sea view, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, I think we will return

Just a few minutes from the beach are also some useful stalls and shops to pick up some useful basic amneties. We have a special diet which is not easy to cater to

The private beach is well kept and only 1 min walk from the hotel grounds. There are plenty of Sun loungers for guests. Reassured to always see lifeguards on duty for the sea and the swimming pools

has a lot of pools, right next to the beach. The only downsight is the food. I was looking for nice italian food, but the buffet was horrible

The amazing sea views, beautifully managed gardens and choice of pools overlooking the sea or mountains meant one could have a different view each time

On August 15th because of the holiday there was a huge dinner- event and there were fireworks visible from the hotel. The hotel provides bigger car to take guests to the beach and usually it wasnt that long to wait

There is a beach in the town with local shops and cafes but they at first refused to drop us there and said there were no local taxi's

Other considerations: a beautifully Italian resort with few English speakers (don’t come here if you prefer Brits abroad!) Plus lots of hidden costs eg E160 on day one for local taxes and use of beach

I knew there was a free shuttle bus to the beach. 50 I was told we had to wait until 15

We waited and then discovered that the beach was empty and miles and miles away from the local town, with a cafe with staff who didn't understand what we were saying

😬 Then I asked about a lift on the bus to get a train after 8 am and staff were so unhelpful, saying the shuttle bus does not run until 9 am and to a ring a taxi in Patti, 30 minutes away to get a lift to the station, 10 minutes away

Pool opens May 1 but you can sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air and greenery surrounding the pool. Terrific restaurant and attentive wait staff. Room was generously sized and super clean

Great location a 15 min walk from central train station and on the waterfront. You do have to walk 10+ minutes to get to restaurants and 15+ min to the historic city center

Very comfortable hotel, cheerful and helpful staff especially Martina and Leo in the restaurant. Great pool spoiled by very loud pop music in the poolside seating area. Overall a very good stay, thank you

With a heatwave hitting throughout my 3-day stay, the best decision I could have made was to choose this hotel specifically for its pool – and boy, did we enjoy it! The atmosphere was super chill, complete with a DJ, the lush surrounding garden, and the perfectly tempered water

Staff were great, taxi stand at the hotel was super convenient as was the hop on hop off and other bus stops right there. Great views of the mountains and seaside

Amazing location. Lovely room and breakfast. Gym is small but well equipped which might be challenging in peak season.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had 2 balconies to overlook the town and view of the Greek Roman Theatre. There’s an outdoor pool above the lobby and spa services available. I can’t wait to stay here again

While fine, this hotel is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch, The gym was underwhelming, the pool looked tired as did the lobby areas. Rooms were nice by very small. It just didn’t have a high level of amenity

We were given a briefing and showed a map (with lots of great recommendation's) from the concierge staff, which really helped us get a great grasp on what to see and do in the area; with only a few days there this was really helpful

The manager Alberto took care of everything we needed and asked for! Angelo, who is everything, everywhere, all at once, also assisted with suggestions, recommendations and just great conversation about family and life

Even the doorman was a familiar face, as we were coming and going from the hotel at all hours. The breakfast here is wonderful with plenty of options from classic Italian to ala carte eggs, pancakes etc

The hotel is in a good location with perfect views on beach and mountains. Good was good did regular fish dishes and meat. however if your used to your classic English meals this hotel is not for you

and most of waiters was lovely. Pool bar very disappointing served rock hard pizza, chip, chicken burger and hotdogs every day which got very boring

All drinks had to be in a plastic cup which led to guests taking glasses out of restaurant up to the pool bar

Website says it has three bars one was shut all the time which led to us sat in the pool bar listening to a very poor singer and his piano. Entertainment team really could do with sorting out

I have been visiting Letojanni for 10 years and have never been disappointed by this hotel, its staff or its services. Its the end of November over 18 degrees....life looks fab from here.

The beach is 15 euros, 15 euros pool, so think before you take. Parking is free. The breakfasts are great, service is great, the service, the rooms, the location is super.

Hotel is very nice, comfortable, staff is polite. The breakfast has no much variety, service super. The hotel has a pool and and to offer access to the sea through a half tunnel, something special

Enjoyable Stay Overall We had read the mixed reviews about the hotel and after staying there are more positives than negatives - good location , lovely pool area and sea terrace, helpful staff, comfortable bed , excellent housekeeping however the hotel does need some updating and parts need cleaning such as the lift windows and balcony furniture , more choices for eggs at breakfast would be nice

We had a balcony view to the sea. The hotel is a mix of old and new. The restaurant was perfect for dinner. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and arranged a taxi for us to the airport

The pool was nice and refreshing after a long hot day and the beer at the pool bar was cold😁. Customer service was great, thanks for getting us in on short notice
