I am a teacher, and I stayed with my school group in this hotel for one night with dinner and breakfast. We were 80 people including 2 middle school students and companions. I must compliment all the staff for how they welcomed us and for their availability, it is not easy to manage all those people at once, I must say that as a school we had a good time, the food was good, as was the cleanliness which...
The service was of a good standard with appropriate courtesy, the standard of food quality was good, and the services corresponded to what was requested. It is certainly recommended for those who intend to travel safely and in compliance with Italian hotel quality standards.
I stayed in this family-run hotel, all in all decent, although the quality of the food needs to be improved, as it didn't offer great choices and was a bit repetitive, the dining rooms were a bit cramped, especially the breakfast one where they also served lunch and dinner. For the rest everything is ok, because they are welcoming and ready for every need.
This hotel has had its day, it is tired, and in dire need of renovations or knocking down and re-build. Having said that, it served its purpose for us whilst on vacation and visiting family in Grotte. As many people have previously mentioned, everything is dated. On the plus side, it is conveniently located for the valley of the temples, there are shops close by, restaurants close by, ample parking...
A spot if you need a quick place to sleep, it’s not luxurious it is in decent shape. The rooms are very plain, clean sheets clean bed, I wasn’t crazy about the shower it had an old musty odor I showered with beach shoes on. The great part was the A/C it was pumping. Which you definitely want here in July where it reached about 104 degrees. It has a pool that I unfortunately could not use. The check...
Very nice staff and the pool is a good way to cool yourself down during the summer heat. The rooms were pretty clean too. I don't understand the negative comments. Do people expect the Mariott or Hilton hotel here?

This was a very good and relaxing holiday. You have to Relax and let the time go by. The Bar is small but you can find the best nibbles and good Alcohol. We came last year 2024 and this year 2025 and have just arrived. I will surely try to make it as well next year.
Good break in a quiet location but is still close to other towns and the beach with a local supermarket 10 mins walk away. Food was okay with a good variety of things available each night staff went above and beyond adapting items available to suit dietary requirements and preferences. Bed was slightly uncomfortable as it was 2 single mattresses put together but hotel room was clean and a large terrace...
Nice break with friendly, helpful staff. Good amenities and very reasonably priced bar with a wide range of snacks. Evening entertainment brought the rating down - childrens disco at 10pm!! As soon as it started the adults started leaving the bar, the childrens entertainment was still playing at 10.45pm. (You are losing paying adults who would stay and buy drinks but don't want to listen to childrens...
We enjoyed our stay in Villagio Alkantara. We stayed in the room number 143. The rooms are pretty basic but very well kept clean and cosy with great air conditioner. The fridge is also a very nice bonus. We booked breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was standard but dinner was amazing with drinks included. Thank you so much, we enjoyed every meal and had a great time. The pool is very well kept with a...
We read a lot re this accommodation before we left, some were not so good , I don't see what anyone has to complain about though , it's what you pay for and believe me this wee place was really good. Clean and tidy , pool excellent , staff fabulous, breakfast continental, cheese ham, fruit tea, coffee, juices , fill your boots it was lovely . Down side, it is out of the way and transport unreliable...
Just spent a week here. Accomodation was basic but spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area, with lots of young people having a great time. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Staff were great. Couple of issues we had were swiftly dealt with by the very helpful reception staff, don't understand some of the negative reviews on here.

The host is extremely helpful. We were in a terrible situation where our booked accomodation got cancelled due to some issues and this property's host welcomed us even late at night. Cheap price and very near to beach. Beautiful location. Rooms are basic, do not expect any luxury. Great location if you have a late night or an early morning flight.
Not all the bungalows are next to the beach. Most aren't. They are old, there's holes on the bath tiles and doors covered by stickers. Everything is from 90s or 80s. The AC works great. Beds are mid. The fridge in the room was super loud. There's planes. If you don't like the sound of planes over your head, don't book. It's right next to the beach. Beach chairs 5€/day. I chose a blanket. There's easy...
I will definitely go back. Practically on the sea. The beautiful beach a few meters from the bungalow. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and pleasant staff. Large green spaces. Restaurant and tobacconist. Nearby there are restaurants, bars and a Lidl reachable in a few minutes by car. Bus stop for Catania center right at the entrance of the structure. Airport 5 minutes away.
The houses are made of cardboard, very noisy from airplanes!
I was in this village at the beginning of December, a quiet place, clean village, beautiful room, friendly staff Stunning sea view I recommend it to you
Something fabulous. Bungalows right on the beach. A wonderful sunrise. Beautiful view of Etna. Clean tidy. A very nice employee - a great person. The breakfast was modest but the coffee was delicious. 12 minutes to the airport. Open 24 hours. I am very satisfied. This place probably benefits in the summer, during the season. Nice infrastructure. Cottages in a wooded area, sandy beach, parking, 24-hour...

The chair cover is kind of dirty and I was reluctant to sit on it.
Hotel with a beautiful view and lovely pool. The only slightly disappointing thing was the breakfast.
I like the location about a 40 minute walk to the town centre with a beautiful beach walk to town, the hotel is situated away from the tourist crowds. We didn't have mattress protectors on our beds, so the mattress was soiled with what looked like a small blood stain. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. I thought the food was really good, fresh...
Very nice hotel close to Cefalù - 15-20min of a nice walk along the see shore promenade. The hotel is very clean, housekeeping staff is really doing a great job there. Rooms are cleaned daily. An excellent hotel on the north coast of the island. The old town is also nearby, about a 20-minute easy walk. The rooms are nice and clean because room service is regular every day. Great hotel and well situated. The staff were very helpful.
Easy to move between connecting gates, as well safe and accomdating.
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was very big (albeit a bit outdated), ACs worked well, large balcony, water dispenser in reception to fill bottles, very large selection of food during the breakfast. What’s more, the hotel gave me gluten free goodies during the breakfast which were sealed to reduce risk of contamination. Staff were nice and even gave my son a colouring book.
The property is conveniently located, easy walking distance to areas of interest. Its about a 30 min walk to the train station. Room is clean and light, staff are really helpful.
Good location for getting a feel of the city during what was a very brief visit. Room was spacious and staff were friendly.

Good place to recharge batteries We had a pleasant stay with incredibly helpful staff. There was a vintage charm to the place, with a lovely pool area. It was easy to either sunbathe or sit under the pine trees and there was a tranquility to the stay. If you didn’t have a access to transport the seafront was a reasonable walk away, so some planning has important.
Cozy hotel with friendly staff Cozy hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is well located with a short distance to everything. Note that you must book a room with a refrigerator.
The property needs refurbishment, but very clean and professional personnel. Swimming pool is really handy during hot season. Location is perfect.Would be happy to come back.
Could be so much more! The room need too be modernaste, it had a bad smell of mold and just old air. The breakfast was okay, nothing special. The atrium yard could have been so much cozier, now it was just a ball room with plastic chais and tables. Walking distance to Mondello beach and town.

Beautiful hotel with a story, told by lots of decorative antiques and the super friendly manager who went out of his way to please us, he opened the bar for us, we feld extremely welcome and had a wonderful night. The room was really nice, quiet, spacious and clean, with balcony with a beautiful view over the bay. Would love to come back here!
The hotel is quite clean, the rooms are generally a bit dated, but they are cleaned every day and the towels are changed. The only really bad thing was the breakfast – very poor, with just a few types of cheap cold cuts, cheese, vegetables that were sometimes not even washed, coffee from a machine with a very bad taste, and a couple of sweet items
Excellent Experience – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The hygiene was impeccable – everything was clean, fresh, and well-maintained. The service was absolutely phenomenal; the staff were all incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is also perfect – close to everything you might need, yet quiet and peaceful. Truly a wonderful experience...
Location by the sea is nice. No parking place available only 7 in the garage for the whole hotel. Had to park at the edge of town €10/day. Rooms are small but ok. Airco works great. Right in the middle of the old town. A fantastic location. Taomini is super busy with crowds, so it was good to be able to easily escape back to our hotel room. There is a really nice (and under utilised) roof top area available for panorama views. The rooms was nice with a reasonably comfortable bed. Breakfast was available down stairs. Location can't be beaten, right on the Corso. We have been coming here for many years & have always enjoyed our stay. Nice bedroom with balcony & sea view & comfortable bed. Bathrooms are very small which some people have written negative reviews about Reception staff are friendly & helpful & the rooftop breakfast terrace has great views. There is also a shuttle service to a nearby beach resort.
Had a most pleasant experience. Room was huge with high ceilings, modern bathroom and a delicious continental breakfast. Location was perfect for us who were not interested in views but rather in the middle of the mix. Could not have asked for more. Bed rest was great and Internet was fast and reliable.

Perfect location to walk to town or get down to the beach. The gardens are beautiful & relaxing! From the outside, it doesn't look like much because it is on a cliff but once inside some rooms have a beautiful view of the seas. It was very clean & the help was great! I would stay there again if we ever return to Sicily!!!
This is a charming hotel with a great view of the sea and a fabulous garden breakfast/lounge area! The breakfast was outstanding ! The hotel receptionist gave us an excellent suggestion for dinner. The only disadvantage of the property is the stairs and difficulty finding the entrance.
We walked in without a reservation, and were given a beautiful room with a sea view. A relaxed, comfortable ambience, and very helpful and courteous staff (thank you for helping us with our onward travel arrangements!) . The staff arranged for us to have breakfast early, to accommodate our early start to Mount Etna. Great coffee! It’s very handy for the bus terminus. Would definitely stay here again
Everything about this property is five stars, the staff and service the breakfast the cleanliness, the rooms and the views. The only criticism I have is that the parking is a bit expensive and it’s offsite.
Super Hoel Antonella, Mateo and Mario were super professional and helpful. They were there whenever we needed a car service, restaurant assistance or tour guide. This hotel is close to town and easy to get to the bus for traveling.Thank you it was an amazing trip and I would recommend this hotel.

Great location near to the port. Room was nice with comfortable bed. Great breakfast with huge selection to choose from. Have stayed here a few times now when we have visited Stromboli and will continue to do so.
A charming place Very nice place, well situated close to the main activities...
Nice place to lodge at the very sea-front of Stromboli, near thepiers! Mariela was kind enough to wait for us to arrive and check in to our room - since they close at 1 pm for a short time - which we did not know and were on our first walk around Stromboli. She even gave us a call to let us know in advance. Mille grazie!
Lucia and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Perfect location for the ferry - a 2-minute walk to the hotel. We liked the breakfast and the view of the Volcano from the terrace. You could see the red glow Very convenient location.

A lovely, small and quiet hotel, run by a welcoming Sicilan family and staff. Very clean, with lovely sea views and a short walk down steps to their private beach, where beds and umbrellas are provided at no extra cost. Flat screen TVs and mini fridges in rooms, free fast WiFi and air-conditioning. We took advantage of the free safety deposit box (located behind reception) to keep passports and a few...
Great position just by the sea and in walking distance to the amazing Selinunte temples. Nice staff and clean hotel.
Great location and terrace overlooking the sea. The room was quite basic. Breakfast was good. Staff spoke little English but tried to be as helpful as possible. We were offseason and there was good parking available. In season is probably very difficult. Nearby restaurant Pierrot was fantastic.
So close to the town and beach. Everyone was very friendly and the room was excellent. Great breakfast and definitely worth a visit
It’s an old hotel. It has warts. Great views. Nice beach close by. No air conditioning, missed that when booking. Would not have booked otherwise.
Not satisfied Good location in relation to the beach. However, the room condition was outdated, with molds in the shower. Breakfast dull.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for a short (a few days) trip in Ortigia, and the experience was great. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond. We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm...
The room was great, the only thing I wanted more was a kettle. The staff was lovely and the hotel is in a good area, on the beautiful island of Ortigia!
We had a great stay in Domus hotel. The hotel is located right on the waterfront. Our room faces the ocean. When we opened the balcony door, we saw ocean in front of our eyes and our hearts sang! Our host Cynthia is so friendly. She goes out of her way to help us.
The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals. The room was clean, the linens crisp and bathroom well appointed. We will stay here again when next in Siracusa!
Beautiful ocean view, very clean and spaciousroom! Easy to drive to, but also close to the town center. Most helpful staff! Thank you!
I had a lovely stay at Domus Mariae, the hotel is charming and conveniently located. Be sure to book a room facing the sea, the view was spectacular. Cinzia was an extremely welcoming and accommodating host. Overall I highly recommend a stay here.
