The host is extremely helpful. We were in a terrible situation where our booked accomodation got cancelled due to some issues and this property's host welcomed us even late at night. Cheap price and very near to beach. Beautiful location. Rooms are basic, do not expect any luxury. Great location if you have a late night or an early morning flight.
Not all the bungalows are next to the beach. Most aren't. They are old, there's holes on the bath tiles and doors covered by stickers. Everything is from 90s or 80s. The AC works great. Beds are mid. The fridge in the room was super loud. There's planes. If you don't like the sound of planes over your head, don't book. It's right next to the beach. Beach chairs 5€/day. I chose a blanket. There's easy...
I will definitely go back. Practically on the sea. The beautiful beach a few meters from the bungalow. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and pleasant staff. Large green spaces. Restaurant and tobacconist. Nearby there are restaurants, bars and a Lidl reachable in a few minutes by car. Bus stop for Catania center right at the entrance of the structure. Airport 5 minutes away.
The houses are made of cardboard, very noisy from airplanes!
I was in this village at the beginning of December, a quiet place, clean village, beautiful room, friendly staff Stunning sea view I recommend it to you
Something fabulous. Bungalows right on the beach. A wonderful sunrise. Beautiful view of Etna. Clean tidy. A very nice employee - a great person. The breakfast was modest but the coffee was delicious. 12 minutes to the airport. Open 24 hours. I am very satisfied. This place probably benefits in the summer, during the season. Nice infrastructure. Cottages in a wooded area, sandy beach, parking, 24-hour...

Excellent hotel in bad position (far from the center of city). Good chef for dinner.
Fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time the two nights we stayed at Hotel Scala and wish we stayed longer! We arrived our first night very late and were ravenous from our travels that day, the staff offered us dinner right after we got settled in at the restaurant on the property. We got wine and the spaghetti vongole, which was delicious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cold which was...
Very nice employees very good breakfast The building needs painting
The property is located 4 km from the center of Syracuse. This is a good hotel without too many pretensions. The room is spacious and clean. The abundant breakfast is plus you will find free parking space near the property. Really low prices. Welcoming and very kind owner. I recommend it, I'll be back!
The most welcoming staff! Max was the best host and truly loves having guests
We had the best time visiting hotel scala greca. The rooms were large and clean. Max was the kindest! He was very attentive and caring. Such a wonderful stay. Will be back!

The chair cover is kind of dirty and I was reluctant to sit on it.
Hotel with a beautiful view and lovely pool. The only slightly disappointing thing was the breakfast.
I like the location about a 40 minute walk to the town centre with a beautiful beach walk to town, the hotel is situated away from the tourist crowds. We didn't have mattress protectors on our beds, so the mattress was soiled with what looked like a small blood stain. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. I thought the food was really good, fresh...
Very nice hotel close to Cefalù - 15-20min of a nice walk along the see shore promenade. The hotel is very clean, housekeeping staff is really doing a great job there. Rooms are cleaned daily. The rooms may need some modernisation, but this was not an issue. Also, there was a safe box in the room. Free - no charge. Wi-Fi was decent as well. As of the staff in general, very friendly people, they...

An excellent hotel on the north coast of the island. The old town is also nearby, about a 20-minute easy walk. The rooms are nice and clean because room service is regular every day. I am a teacher, and I stayed with my school group in this hotel for one night with dinner and breakfast. We were 80 people including 2 middle school students and companions. I must compliment all the staff for how they welcomed us and for their availability, it is not easy to manage all those people at once, I must say that as a school we had a good time, the food was good, as was the cleanliness which...
The service was of a good standard with appropriate courtesy, the standard of food quality was good, and the services corresponded to what was requested. It is certainly recommended for those who intend to travel safely and in compliance with Italian hotel quality standards.
I stayed in this family-run hotel, all in all decent, although the quality of the food needs to be improved, as it didn't offer great choices and was a bit repetitive, the dining rooms were a bit cramped, especially the breakfast one where they also served lunch and dinner. For the rest everything is ok, because they are welcoming and ready for every need.
This hotel has had its day, it is tired, and in dire need of renovations or knocking down and re-build. Having said that, it served its purpose for us whilst on vacation and visiting family in Grotte. As many people have previously mentioned, everything is dated. On the plus side, it is conveniently located for the valley of the temples, there are shops close by, restaurants close by, ample parking...
A spot if you need a quick place to sleep, it’s not luxurious it is in decent shape. The rooms are very plain, clean sheets clean bed, I wasn’t crazy about the shower it had an old musty odor I showered with beach shoes on. The great part was the A/C it was pumping. Which you definitely want here in July where it reached about 104 degrees. It has a pool that I unfortunately could not use. The check...

Convenient for an overnight stay close to the airport. Good breakfast included in price. Staff were helpful. Fridge was noisy- I had to unplug it to get to sleep. Otherwise very good.
Good internet, smart TVs, newly renovated suite with private plunge whirlpool. Area around the hotel somewhat depressing and dilapidated with several abandoned buildings, etc.
Great area easy in and out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable and cool.
Great place! Will definitely come back on my next trip.
We had a nice stay. The room was comfortable. The recommendation provided for La Barraca restaurant was an excellent evening nearby.

Idyllic location overlooking small bay. Quiet, no traffic noise at all. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent local wines, some from the island, with superb food, lots of locally caught seafood. I've never eaten coffee flavoured cloud, but it must be something like the chef's tiramisu!!
OMG — this place is absolutely heavenly! Well, technically, it's a little slice of heaven just off the mainland... Our room was breathtaking, with not one but two balconies overlooking the crashing waves. Most enjoyable. Underpass from station would be a good idea.
The windows haven't been washed for ages, the acoustics are average, you can hear the neighbors' TV, but the reception is very good.
Amazing staff, very very clean, very well located and well priced. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the furnishings, tiles etc are not latest, but are in excellent condition.

Right in the middle of the old town. A fantastic location. Taomini is super busy with crowds, so it was good to be able to easily escape back to our hotel room. There is a really nice (and under utilised) roof top area available for panorama views. The rooms was nice with a reasonably comfortable bed. Breakfast was available down stairs. I would stay here again.
Lovely hotel in a good location. Friendly staff from housekeeping, breakfast staff and reception area. Marco was very helpful with my room allocation.
Location can't be beaten, right on the Corso. We have been coming here for many years & have always enjoyed our stay. Nice bedroom with balcony & sea view & comfortable bed. Bathrooms are very small which some people have written negative reviews about Reception staff are friendly & helpful & the rooftop breakfast terrace has great views. There is also a shuttle service to a nearby beach resort.
Had a most pleasant experience. Room was huge with high ceilings, modern bathroom and a delicious continental breakfast. Location was perfect for us who were not interested in views but rather in the middle of the mix. Could not have asked for more. Bed rest was great and Internet was fast and reliable.
Lovely hotel in a great location, very central to everything needed. Breakfast was great, as was the access to the private beach club. Bathroom was a little small and dated but manageable for a few days.

Excellent service and location Can't say enough great things about this hotel. Fantastic location and service. Breakfast was outstanding!
The hotel is very conveniently located — it’s just a short walk to the main tourist attractions, which made exploring the city really easy. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond. We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm...
The room was great, the only thing I wanted more was a kettle. The staff was lovely and the hotel is in a good area, on the beautiful island of Ortigia!
We had a great stay in Domus hotel. The hotel is located right on the waterfront. Our room faces the ocean. When we opened the balcony door, we saw ocean in front of our eyes and our hearts sang! Our host Cynthia is so friendly. She goes out of her way to help us.
The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals. The room was clean, the linens crisp and bathroom well appointed. We will stay here again when next in Siracusa!

Beautiful, well-maintained property. Gorgeous pool. Spacious rooms. Breakfast probably needs revisiting. Lacks variety. The owners are incredibly kind. The three stars go solely to the staff. They're surly, unhelpful, and at times arrogant, and overshadow all the beauty of the place. A real shame.
