On the positive side, the hotel itself boasts wonderful facilities and a delightful atmosphere. Although there isn't a beach nearby, the hotel does offer three pools

This is one amazing hotel to stay at. the facilities are absolutely outstanding staff very friendly and have very good English so if you don't speak Italian don't worry speak very good English

The 3 swimming areas - upper pool, lower salt water pool and seaside area - are beautiful with lots of chairs, towels, bar and cafe options

What a great experience at this beautiful hotel! I was there for a family reunion of 60 people. The Chief Animator and singer Silvia Galetta has an amazing voice and delivers brilliant performances on every song

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with every amentity you might need and very comfortable beds and an abundance of great pillows. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious

There are multiple stairs to access these areas and I was happy to discover they offered golf cart rides for us older folks! This truly is a great value for the reasonable price!

The entertainment team were exceptional, always ready to meet you with a smile and friendly face. Great food and drinks and in a beautiful setting, with easy access to cefalu. I will definitely be back again

An amazing hotel, so friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean. It is no trouble for any of the staff to do anything for you. The bar staff are all excellent, especially bar manager Rosario

Such a beautiful hotel, the staff here are incredibly friendly and hospitable, it is more aimed towards Italian customers which is perfect to immerse yourself in the culture

The entertainment is even translated it was such a wonderful experience with my family the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pools and baby dance!

However that being said they have written English and the staff are pretty good at it too

We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area

Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish

The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle

We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella

Lots of activities on the beach - beach volleyball and lots of water sports available through the Chelonia team who are fantastic and professional in all they do

Visited in August 2022 for 6 nights with a family of 7 from U. it was our first time in this resort and we were not disappointed! We had 4 rooms - all basic and simple yet comfortable

The private beach is well kept and only 1 min walk from the hotel grounds. There are plenty of Sun loungers for guests. Reassured to always see lifeguards on duty for the sea and the swimming pools

It was never too busy anywhere, breakfast was amazing as were all the dinner restaurants. the staff are what make this place so special. Upon arrival, Carmen was an angel. She was funny, kind and so helpful

Being a fairly small hotel, the beach and pools never felt crowded and we could sit wherever we wanted to at dinner and breakfast. Our rooms both had large balconies and fridges which were welcome

While my husband enjoyed a cabana at the Calm Beach (for adults only) booked by Roberta the beach manager, I preferred to indulge in a relaxing massage at the SPA

On August 15th because of the holiday there was a huge dinner- event and there were fireworks visible from the hotel. The hotel provides bigger car to take guests to the beach and usually it wasnt that long to wait

On the beach there are deckchairs and umbrellas for guests which was super convinient. So to sum up: i definitely recommend this hotel for the views and people!!!

You will need a swimming cap in the pool! Otherwise, you'll be asked to leave. You can buy it at the bar from 2pm onwards this also includes buying drinks/snacks. The hotel offer a shuttle to the beach and town

The corridors arent that pleasant but is it important? It is obliged to wear a swimming cap in the swimming pool if you swim (if you just sit there you dont have to put it) that you have to pay for

Staff were extremely friendly, caring and pleasant, starting from the reception, restaurant and animation. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay as a single mother as easy as possible

I stayed at this hotel with my three daughters (14, 11 and 3). They enjoyed the stay, had lots of fun in the pool and with the animation team. The youngest really enjoyed the baby dance!

All inclusive. No A/C in rooms during our stay. Rules with energy use. Heat was bearable with windows open.

There's nowhere to walk on site except up and down the short drive - the main road is far too dangerous for pedestrians. A courtesy bus can be booked for visits to town or the allocated beach

Hotels have been closed during Covid and now that they have reopened, most hotels are having difficulty with staff and technicalities. The general public should understand it is difficult moments for all

It's our second visit to the hotel. The view and design is spectacular. The hotel is located on the side of a mountain that is falling into the beautiful beach of Sicily

We didn't have time to look around but apparently it is difficult to walk to the beach from this hotel

The only improvement could be the quality of the VOI Concierge activities, we joined the Lipari/Vulcano one and it was expensive and unsatisfactory, I would suggest to future guests to check external activities not ones organised by the resort

A huge thank to Gianluigi in the Restaurant, We always saw him rushing and walking around to ensure that the there are always food at the buffet, he even help serving food to the guest

Really cool place the only thing missing is the beach which is too far...train and long walk under the sun, count 15 to 20 minutes to go there.

Really many positive aspects of this stay, compared to the negative ones. The only negatives are a few details relating to the breakfast, the elevator not flawless and the bar not well stocked

Paint work at units shabby as well a it is all stairs! No ramps for any one who was disabled in any way. My three stars is being very generous. I think they are just poorly organised and for what you pay

Resort of a certain prestige in the past, now left to itself. The environment in which it is located is spectacular, but the organization fails on everything and every year it gets worse and worse

Same for towels, you have to ask for them to be changed. The hotel is like a village so room bins are left on the side of the alley while waiting for the tractor to pass (24 to 48 hours)

Your room is a minimum of comfort. The plus is air conditioning and fan, possible terrace and parasol with sea view. For cleaning, it is not Simple for the team on site so you have to follow up so that it is done

Concerning the beach, magnificent view, beautiful location very quiet and private. The entertainment team (in Italian) is bland, evening show not followed by the public

40 stairs higher the restaurant. Very good, fresh Sicilian products, several choices on the dishes and very good team at the service. In addition you have the same table in the living room which is a plus

Excellent hotel with amazing views of the walled city of Syracuse. Both beaches (Rocky and Sandy) were excellent. Service was excellent and easy using WhatsApp

One of the best places to travel when you want to relax in Sicily. Clean room and a really beautiful place. The pool and jaccuzi is great. Not far from Syracuse with car

The only caveat is there were a lot of small children that can be loud during dinner on the property. Otherwise a great place to stay during your trip to Syracuse

While the view of the city from the beach was stunning, the area was not well maintained—the dock was concrete and deteriorating, and the beach didn’t appear groomed

Large hotel spread over many levels on steep hillside. Beach is about 200 metres away but across busy roads. Two good pools, but food was average

The location of Hotel la Riva is excellent and zi was lucky enough to have a sea view and balcony. I enjoyed looking at the quirky decor

Its has a really old style, with alot of art on the walls. Not my thing, but the room was clean and the people were lovely.

I would like to see a more substantial breakfast even to the extent of cheese and ham available
