As someone born in Altamura and now living in New Jersey, this trip was special—I came back to visit family, and I know the town well. This stay exceeded expectations.
The location is excellent: easy street parking that’s always within view of the room, close to the town center, and convenient access to the highway for quick trips to Bari.
Vincenzo (Vinny) is a great host and speaks English, which makes everything smooth and welcoming. The apartment was well-equipped, including a coffee maker with fantastic espresso, a delicious local breakfast cake, plus water and fruit juices provided in the room.
The balconies are classic Altamura style and offer beautiful views. I highly recommend booking the top floor if available.
If you’re planning to visit Bari, Matera, or Altamura, this is a perfect place to stay. Highly recommend.

The location is close to the road to Matera, so it's still convenient and easy to find. However, the room was small and cold: the air conditioning didn't work and there were no blankets. A real shame, given the excellent location.

When we arrived at the property, the room reserved for us hadn't yet been cleaned, despite having called us about an hour in advance to let them know of our arrival. They unprofessionally asked us to come back in an hour or two.
The room is spacious, but it lacked any comfort (there were no outlets near the bed or bedside tables, the lamps couldn't be turned on, and the room was noisy).
The quality-price ratio is poor.

The room is nice and appears comfortable, but unfortunately I have to say it's just smoke and mirrors. The mattress is from the post-war period. A B&B or guesthouse, be it a bed and breakfast or a guesthouse, must first and foremost provide a comfortable mattress, and more. Breakfast is not provided in the morning. At least two toasted biscuits and some jam can be provided as a service, given that it's within the requested price. We still spent more than we should have, between various breakfasts at the bar and cafe. There's a coffee machine on the second floor, and we weren't even given pods. I think the whole situation needs to be reorganized a bit, because the price doesn't compensate for the service. I hope this review can be seen as constructive criticism so we can improve.

I rated it low because the first time I booked, they wouldn't give me an extra-large bed for three, since our five-year-old son isn't used to sleeping alone yet. Since the room was for two adults, not two with a child, they initially told me it wasn't available, when Booking.com said it was free for two days. In the end, to avoid losing €60, they let me have it. It's a room with a bathroom, living room, and a locked kitchen. For breakfast, you have to make do with the coffee machine outside the room. Only espresso or macchiato are available. There's parking, and to get to the center of Altamura, you have to walk 600 meters up a slight hill. We forgot one of my son's stuffed animals. But they didn't even bother to point it out to me. That's fine.
