Maison Rinaldi in Bari

THERE IS NO BEACH, NO BAR, no sauna, owners not there but cameras everywhere. Not allowed to put water in their fridge as there is a lock on it. Breakfast is only 1 croisant, 1 coffee, 1 drink. 1 yogurt. Waste of money. In the middle of no where down dark lanes. Bus to town to a restaurant 15 minutes. Broken chairs. Can't upload rocky seafront down the alley you have to walk up.

Terrible check-in experience, CHARGING ME 16 Euros for arriving at 9pm…. A room in a BASEMENT, trains ran behind it every 20 minutes, loud and vibrations you would not expect in . Gaudy and tacky decor. Rude manager, uses the swimming area to entertain his friends and family night after night. It is also far from Bari centre . Do yourself a favour, you can do much better than Maison Rinaldi.

I want to tell you about accommodation in the mini-hotel Maison Rinaldi SrL in June 2022. We booked it from 05-12.06.2022. But all from the beginning. First - the hotel does not match the description and photo, what offers Booking.com. The pool was not cleaned, leaves and other small debris floated. The photo of the pool, which is displayed on the site, is very decorated. There are no green plants in the middle. Just a fence and a house, which is both the home of the owners and it has rooms. It is difficult to call it rooms. We had a late flight and we booked a transfer to the hotel from the airport. This transfer was listed on the site. We wrote the flight number to the owner and when we arrive. The flight was delayed a bit and when we left, no one met us. And it's already midnight. Taxi drivers refused to take us because this hotel is outside the city. It was difficult to find one who drove us. Fortunately, we found the taxi and it was 35 Euros, instead 40 Euros that was listed by hotel.
When we arrived, this hotel was a house outside the city with a fence. We were opened by the owner Vito, who does not speak on English. He gave us the keys to the room we were booking. And this room was just a nightmare. It was not fully complied with the stated footage and was in the basement. Its size is 12 square meters. (instead of the 20 listed on the site). There was not even a place to put a suitcase. There were no windows and lights. There was a small window that opened for ventilation by 10 cm. The bathroom was so small that one person could not turn around. The towels were so old and dark that they resembled a rag for the floor. This room was decorated with some paintings, rather it was like an hourly for one night. More about breakfast. The hotel says it is Italian. This means - coffee, water, croissants and a cake. And like in all hotels in Italy, we will not find anything else. The next hotel also announced this, but it's cheese, eggs, omelette, prosciutto, salami, seasonal fruit, fresh juice and of course chic coffee, cappuccino, and even forgot about the pieces of pizza. Also, trains ran all the time. It seems that we lived at the train station. Since we were paid for 7 nights, we weren't going to stay at the hotel anymore.
So we informed the owner Vito that we want to leave as soon as possible and that he will return the money for 6 nights, which we did not use. And here began the most interesting. He said he would do so when he received the funds except for one night. We agreed, booked another hotel and hoping that the owner Vito is a decent businessman and keeps his word. But when we wrote to him in a few days. He replied that he would not return anything and did not want to communicate with us anymore. He had previously stressed that no one stayed with him for more than one night.Vito never returned the money, which is 700 euros. We wrote on Booking.com, through which we booked this hotel, but they refused to communicate with us and said that we need to resolve all issues with the owner. By the way, there is no beach, no cafe, no supermarket in the district of 2 km. It was the most horrible apartment in 20 years of our travels.

The worst hotel/hostel in my life !!!

If you planning to visit Maison Rinaldi I am strongly advise you NOT to do it !!!
I went there in August 2021 with my friends, 3 couples and the first issue was the rooms, we have booked 3 double rooms on Booking.com and we got one room for three, one double room and one single.
That was a nightmare! Rooms located in the basement without window, sun, or fresh air. Beds and pillows were so uncomfortable that I could not sleep for the whole stay.
We were happy to have at least swimming pool in the place, but that was also forbidden ! No swimming after 6pm and literally every time we were willing to take a swim we heard that we need to have special swimming cap otherwise we can not use the pool. Imagine swimming with a plastic cap when is 38 degree outside ! Insane. Water was also dirty and sticky, probably unfiltered from years.
Manager of hotel is all the time there, sleeping in lobby or on the bench, looking every step you take. You feel like an intruder in this hotel. They care only about money, giving you nothing in return.
I am strongly disappointed with the terrible condition of the place, where everything is old and rusty. What is worse while everything is not allowed to use for guests, Manager is organizes his own parties for family and friends on the throughout the hotel. All is allowed for his family, swimming at night WITHOUT swimming cap, noise and drinking till late hours, even loud fireworks at night ! This hypocrisy that needs to be changed. For this price you can get much better places in Bari with nice and friendly service. If you do not wanna throw money down the drain and come back home with disgust and bad memories better do not go to Maison Rinaldi hotel.
