The building itself was likely spectacular when it was first built. Many of the ementies and furnishings are clearly worn or in need of refurbishment or repair.

We stayed in Bari at Palazzo Calò for a couple of nights before heading further south for a wedding.
The rooms were the perfect size and very comfortable. Showers could have been a little better and the water pressure was fairly low.
Breakfast however was delightful, staff greeting you as you come down in the morning, fresh coffee to order (latte, cappuccino, espresso etc) and also eggs boiled to order.
Breakfast offers the usual continental meats, cheeses, pastries, yoghurts and fresh juices. There weren’t any cooked breakfast options (i.e sausages, scrambled eggs etc). Breakfast is usually between 8-10 and we were there around 9 and it was quiet. Things usually picked up around 9:30
I thoroughly recommend asking reception for places to go (especially if you’re interested in food and drink) she gave us some incredible suggestions that were all fairly close.
Also recommend heading up to the roof terrace for a good view and sunset photo op
