I would definitely not recommend this hotel. We stayed a few years ago and it was much better. It's gone dowhill due to very poor management. The walls inside the rooms were filthy and the carpet in the corridors was soiled and full of stains. Really terrible. In the room there was the bad, chemical smells of the cheap cleaning products used by the staff. Passing some of the rooms I saw them spraying a huge amount of them over the headboard. The room stunk with a heavy smell possibly also unhealthy. Breakfast was generally good and was on the terrace of the top floor and had comfortable air con. But I would avoid this hotel. In the reception they display seriously bad paintings done by a friend of the owner. The little books, published by the hotel, which they put complimentary by bed are lovely but generally the place has deteriorated. The derelict building just opposite makes this feeling neglect even more strong. Sad.

The service and the staff was excellent, no doubt. The guy at the entrance was super helpful and helped us to reserve a taxi for the airport. The room was spacious and ok, the towels were a bit old and one could notice, also the bedsheets and the pillows. Overall a good experience, cheap, convenient and well located. Breakfast was ok.

Nice place to stay when visiting Reggio Calabria. Parking is on the street and can be a challenge.

The staff are very accommodating and go out of their way to assure your stay is a success. Breakfast is Keto friendly and includes sliced meats, cheese, pastries, cereals, jams, nutella, coffee, juice...something for everyone. If you are simply looking for a beautiful view their rooftop breakfast dining area is breathe taking giving stunning view of Sicily. Open patio to sip coffee and enjoy the sounds of the birds. Reggio Calabria waterfront walk is fun and relaxing at all times of day...dancing, dining, ..then back to your hotel room - clean, comfortable, and safe. handicap friendly elevator and hallways.

Hotel in an excellent location, just 1 street above Corso Garibaldi. Very clean and very bright room, very kind receptionist and super breakfast! I will definitely come back.

So far on this trip, we have stayed in Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii and Salerno and none of the hotels has been as welcoming and helpful as Torrione Hotel.
On arrival we were greeted by happy and helpful staff, and offered a drink. As a couple of weary travellers fresh off of a 4.5 hour train ride, this was such a wonderful gesture. While enjoying our beers we had a long chat with Tina - she is a shining light doing Canada proud all the way over here in Italy.
A gentleman whose name I neglected to ask (shame on me) helped us with advice regarding a rental car and organised a taxi for us. He was extremely patient through the whole process and always happy to help.
This is one hotel where you won't be left wondering if the online photos are of a different place. Our room is exactly as clean, bright, and cosy as advertised - we really couldn't have asked for more!
