Hotel Villa San Michele

Leah brought me here as a birthday treat. I want birthdays like this every day. Thank you to the family that own this fabulous hotel for looking after us so well. October is obviously the best time to avoid the crowds and still have great weather.

A family run hotel which excelled in the hospitality it provided. We were made to feel very welcome and the meals were excellent. It was a real treat to be able to swim in the sea directly from the hotel and then sitting the sun and gave an uninterrupted sea view as there was from our bedroom and the restaurant. Would definitely recommend to others

Fantastic family owned and run hotel. We are return visitors, without question the friendliest, and one of the best located small hotels on the Amalfi coast. Between Amalfi and Minori and below Ravello, excellent bus routes, with an easy walk to Atrani. You can book more expensive hotels but you won’t get the personal family touch fantastic changing evening menu and Antonio who looks after you in the restaurant morning lunchtime and dinner! He is a star, and true class act. With lots of space for relaxation swimming in the sea below, this beautifully maintained property is a must stay on the Amalfi coast., and offers tremendous value given some of the hotel costs along the coast.

Beautiful Villa on theTyrrhenian Sea. Only 12 rooms nestled right on the water. Great staff you get to know intimately include Antonio, Nicola, Andrea and Francesco; all ambassadors of happiness. Our room 118 had a gorgeous view and terrace. Meal pkg incls full or half board very well done and include fresh ingredients procured each day. Walkable to Amalfi, Atrani, Minori and Maiori. Brilliant property.

Such a beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and a magical location. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s a secret gem and absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and the private beach was stunning. I can’t wait to come back. One of my favourite places in the region!

OK people ..I have written a few reviews but this one is difficult in some ways as it is so spectacular as I wanted authentic Italian family style business and man did I get it ..views incredible..food to hardly believe how good along with presentation along w friendless..I did not want to leave and was best relaxation I had In 10 years ..can't wait to be back ..I am not kidding ..if u want almafi coast go see the father ..mother .2 sons who have attained greatness. I dearly thank them forever ..for having me and my wife Maryann..so fantastico..bravo..love and respect..caio for now

I’m hesitant to leave a review because I don’t want people finding out about this amazing hotel. It was the best stay we have had in Italy and possibly worldwide. It is such a beautiful property with the staff taking such care of every inch of the gardens and surrounding. Our nightly dinners were incredible and we loved sitting down at the swim area. Staff are absolutely incredible.

Can not fault this wonderful place. Rooms right beside the Med - just magical. The views and general ambience are fabulous. Thank you Antonio in particular for looking after us at every meal. You epitomised Italian hospitality. We hope to come back someday - we loved it.

My husband and I just returned from a 6 night stay at Villa San Michele. It was wonderful. We had a room with a terrace. We found the communication excellent- before we arrived there was prompt response to our questions. Found the staff and the family wonderful. The hotel arranged a scooter rental for us and we spent the days touring a few spots. BUT STILL -our favourite memory of the 6 days on the Amalfi coast was having breakfast in the morning... and sitting on the terrace having tea in the afternoon, or wine in the evening. We concur with many of the reviews - be prepared for stairs - ie it is not a place if you have mobility issues. My husband had a few stomach issues while there, and though there were set menu choices each night, I found they were able to provide solutions for him if the meals were not going to agree with him. We are not very adventurous when it comes to food - but we found the choices to be quite well prepared and tasty. The breakfast was large - enough for us to have some leftovers at lunch. (Which was encouraged). The family was always responsive to questions ,helping to arrange taxi, laundry service, the scooter, explaining bus/ferry schedules... and on our final day as we were leaving, Rosa sprinted to flag down a bus for us.... picking up our bags as she ran by!! We felt like family. Our only regret? It wasn't long enough.

Excellent hotel. Location is spectacular - views from all areas are breathtaking. The breakfast was perfect - in a perfect setting. The evening dinners were delicious - true home cooking Amalfi style. And the staff were all really friendly.
