They didn’t provide any actual apology or solution and the experience of having to stay at a hotel where you don’t feel like you can leave your thing unattended was shameful.
**Positives:**
The hotel itself is nice, with modern amenities and clean rooms. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast—it was varied, fresh, and well-prepared, a great start to the day. The location is also ideal for business travelers, especially those attending exhibitions nearby.
**Negatives:**
Unfortunately, the reception service was well below expectations. Before arrival, we tried to get some basic information, but the reception staff were unhelpful and unable to provide clear answers. Check-in was not much better—the staff member assisting us was unprofessional and unfriendly. However, the worst part came during check-out. There was a queue at the reception, with only two staff members available to handle the process for a hotel with 700 rooms. The lady handling our check-out was extremely rude, repeatedly emphasizing how overwhelmed they were, as if that excused the poor service. Her attitude was dismissive, and rather than apologizing for the wait, she seemed irritated by the guests.
Overall, while the hotel itself is great for business purposes, the front desk service needs significant improvement. It's frustrating to see such a contrast between the quality of the hotel and the poor service at reception, which leaves a sour final impression.
However, bear in mind that this hotel seems to cater mostly for nearby conference centers, so it’s not very leisurely. Though it seems that no hotels in Bologna have a pool anyway. The garden area is nice though and the bar serves a good Aperol Spritz for 8€.
The breakfast is great, staff are nice.
