Hotel Sorriso in Rimini

Honestly we expected more from a 3 star hotel. Questionable reception but certainly not the main problem. The bedroom was poorly cleaned, the presence of a disposable container of shampoo used above the shower was proof of this. The thing that bothered us the most was the lack of a sliding door section of the shower cubicle. This problem was immediately reported to the reception, who simply responded by apologizing for the mix-up but did not even try to find a solution. We were therefore left without half the shower door, flooding the entire bathroom. In the morning, from around 7.20 am, the bedroom cleaners began their work by speaking in a decidedly annoying tone of voice along the corridor, disturbing the guests' rest. Another misadventure: we had asked, in the afternoon, to be able to use the bicycles available in the evening; when it was time to use it, we were told that the bicycles were all reserved for the following day and the keys had already been given to future users.

I booked a room in this hotel for the night of June 2nd about a month/a month and a half ago. The other day, without warning, the facility tried to deduct the money from the card I had inserted. Not having been notified, I had no money on that card and, rightly, I received an email saying "invalid card", I then promptly changed the card (valid I underline) and I received the same email, I tried again with another equally valid one. valid and the same happens. Result? The next email was to cancel the reservation. I immediately called the hotel to have explanations because at the moment it is really difficult to find a room for June 2nd, a day of celebration, on the Rimini seafront and on the weekend of a fair. The lady replies telling me that she can't help me and that I have to rebook from scratch with the current prices, also adding that it is no longer possible to book for one night but for a minimum of three. Considering that the problem was not mine but the hotel's, I would have expected a different response, for example the proposal of a new payment method or at least the reconfirmation of the room (I underline that I called immediately as soon as the email arrived and therefore the room she had only been free for a few seconds). I continue to explain the situation to the lady without any kind of help from her. I am truly outraged by the situation and would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. Despite a good location.
Myself and 3 other South Africans were mistreated. There is nobody ever at reception, only when you pay.
We've had racist encounters by a worker, shouting at us in Italian, shouting at the owner in our presence.
In 10 days the cleaner came ONCE to clean our room and change sheets and towels.
