The hotel was a very nice experience overall. The property is quaint and unique. Great views. I opted for the breakfast and dinner option which was highly recommended. Dinner was a 4 course tasty meal with a very good deal. Breakfast could use more varieties.

The owners are lovely and the location is so close to Bolsena it's a stones throw. The owners were very kind and actually I will miss Bolsena and this place.

Terrible. They don’t have the correct phone numbers. I was trying to find their location by GPS it sent me I. The middle of no where. I called no answer then through my check in experience I put a sad face they message and gas lighted me that they had been there and received no call. I sent a screen shot of call and the number ******* showed for them. Don’t stay here.

It was great experience with this property. Coming quite late it was difficult to find. As we arrived we were offered dinner for reasonable price and since we did not feel going back to town we accepted. Oh my God, that turned out really special dinner next to fire place in rustic surrounding, with three course plentiful, tasty meal and cake and their wine included. We felt like kings. In the morning we strolled along beautiful property. Rooms are very clean and cosy, rustic and beautiful. Grounds and gardens too.

Lovely spot with great views from the room and very friendly staff. Good food as well. Only negative is that the sound insulation between rooms was not particularly good so when there were others near us (only one night luckily) we could hear them. Otherwise a great place to stay.

A stay in this structure, surrounded by the most luxuriant nature and with a unique view of Lake Bolsena, represents a cure for the soul and also for the body. In fact, silence and stillness guarantee restorative sleeps and good traditional cuisine satisfies the palate. Very kind owners and staff. RECOMMENDED!

Montebello is in a beautiful place. If you are in a room on the ground floor, however, you will not see anything of the lake. It seems that not much maintenance or modernization has taken place in recent years. The plumbing is still from the eighties. That in itself is not bad, but unfortunately it is not kept very clean. The room we stayed in was quite dark and because there were no screens on the windows and there were a lot of mosquitoes, nothing could be left open. The only ventilation was a ceiling fan and that is definitely not enough (during the day it was 30 degrees or higher outside). The meals were not expensive (25 p.p) and generally tasted quite good. The beds were quite hard and squeaked and creaked when you moved. Monte Bello is a beautiful place but three stars is really too much.

The location is magnificent, in the hills with a splendid view of Lake Bolsena. But it is the only thing worthwhile, the whole structure is decadent and uncared for. Dirty and ruined rooms that are not cleaned properly, room services almost absent. The external services (swimming pool, tennis court, etc.) are not taken care of (dirty pool, dirty and broken deck chairs, dilapidated tennis courts). The breakfast is poor, all packaged, not from a farm.
All for a far too high price!

Well-kept structure, surrounded by greenery with a beautiful swimming pool. Meals are served outside in a truly comfortable setting. Good food and friendly staff. Cleaning of the rooms is better taken care of. However pleasant stay, a really relaxing weekend, recommended !!!
