The family running this ancient converted old mill house are very warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The house was bombed out during the war and they bought and renovated the property. The high wood beam ceilings, thick stone walls, with a small underground cellar, is so very cosy and pleasant to stay in. This is within a very easy pleasant walk to both the "town centre" piazza and Lake Bolsena. Do try the local lake fishes and dishes, very unique. Am giving the Casale a 5 stars for our very pleasant and wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Casale 1541 and spent three wonderful days there. The place is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Bolsena and the surrounding area.
Gian Marco was incredibly helpful and welcoming, giving us great tips on what to visit nearby and helping us discover some amazing places.
Highly recommended — we would definitely come back!

Beautifully renovated old mill in a quiet corner of Bolsena but close to the center. Very friendly host, great breakfast, super clean room with perfect bed. Would recommend this place for couples.

We stayed here for one night. The room was small, and the shower cabin had limited space. There was a damp smell in the room, probably due to the building being old.
The breakfast was rich in pastries and bread, which was more of a downside for us, but there were also boiled eggs, yogurt, and a small selection of meats and cheeses.
The location is good, and there is parking available for cars. The staff was very polite and friendly.

A reasonable good hotel in a small town, but the drain system in the shower is terrible as you are standing in water taking the shower.

A beautiful old stone building that has been stylishly decorated to provide several en-suite guest rooms. We only stayed for one night but wish we’d had more time here. This family run accommodation has a very homely atmosphere and is in easy walking distance to the lake, the castle and the Basilica di Santa Cristina. Our host gave us information about what to see in the town and where to eat as well as great suggestions for stop offs on our onward destination.

Absolutely incredible—the owners were so nice and I arrived well past the checkout time because I didn't read the email carefully. They were so gracious and made a reservation for me at an incredible restaurant on the water and facilitated it because I don't speak english. Loved the room and the property.
