Nice and helpful staff and a clean room. The room itself was quite a bit smaller than I’m used to, but the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. On the plus side, there was a large safe, a refrigerator, and a generous wardrobe. The view of Castello di Brescia from the window was also a nice bonus.

The breakfast was disappointing – or perhaps this is the Italian standard. There were far more sweet options than regular breakfast alternatives; it felt more like a dessert table. The coffee machines were turned off, so you had to ask the staff every time you wanted coffee, and the portions were very small. (And no, I don’t mean espresso.) In Sweden we’re used to large, strong coffee, not a small and weak Americano or a tiny espresso.

One major downside is the extra charge to use the spa. The spa is heavily promoted in the photos, but it’s not clearly stated that it costs extra. I wasn’t informed about the spa at check-in and had to ask about it myself, including whether it was included or came at an additional cost. The same applied to the gym, which I only noticed later through the hotel photos.

The location is okay, the rooms are quiet, and the prices are reasonable. A large supermarket is located just around the corner, which is very convenient. Free luggage storage was available on the day of check-out. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location behind the Brescia Castle. You can reach the castle through a 400-meter tunnel. The room is very comfortable. The breakfast is very rich. It is antique and very Italian in style. It is worth staying. It is convenient to drive. There is free parking.

The hotel is in an excellent position just a few hundred meters from the historic center of Brescia, nearby there are various bars where you can have breakfast and some places to have lunch and dinner. The rooms are good and fairly clean. For a couple the standard room is perfect, we had an inconvenience, we booked the 16m2 standard room with Trip.com and they gave us the smaller French room, but the real inconvenience was that from the suction nozzle of the The bathroom air smelled like smoke. Therefore, after having pointed this out, unfortunately after the second night, they changed our room giving us the standard one and basically without the smell of smoke. In the end, if there hadn't been this inconvenience, the stay would have been perfect, a shame. If they know about this problem they shouldn't give these problem rooms to anyone. At first, as soon as we arrived, it seemed that someone had recently smoked in the room and the receptionist even ventilated the room and sprayed a product that absorbs fumes. If they had told us that the problem was the room we would have changed rooms immediately. Unfortunately I think they know very well the problem with some rooms and continue to assign them. However, I give a slightly positive overall rating.
