Reviews
It's true that it is a bit far from Milan's center, but you can always use the metro or taxis. There's a park right in front of there are some stores to buy food and basic stuff around as well.
The room was great clean and nicely decorated. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The bathroom was in decent condition clean and fairly well-maintained, though not perfect.
Another plus was the lift, which was very convenient. The area around the hotel is quiet, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.
The staff were very helpful and always answered our questions.
We didn’t have the opportunity to try the breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit inconsistent sometimes it worked well, but other times it didn’t work at all.
Overall, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend this place.
The breakfast was okay. I could only enjoy the coffee and croissants. There were also watery scrambled eggs and odd looking sausages being served. I only took one bite from the scrambled eggs and that was it for me. Not very good. The breakfast was not for me at all.
The wi-fi was horrible and so painful. It was very very disappointing.
The staff were friendly. Especially the one working in the breakfast area.
The location was not very enjoyable for me. I had very bad experiences the first day I arrived. I got weird comments and looks from men and heard some violent shoutings around the area. I did not feel safe as a woman, so I suggest not being alone in this area.
It was an okay to bad experience overall for its value.
Let's start with the service—or lack thereof. The staff at Hotel Rex Milano seemed utterly disinterested in providing even the most basic level of hospitality. The check-in process was slow and disorganized, with the receptionist displaying a level of indifference that bordered on rudeness. It felt as though I was inconveniencing them by being there.
The nightmare continued in my room. The cleanliness was subpar, with visible dust and grime in various corners. The linens appeared worn and had a distinct lack of freshness, leaving me questioning the overall hygiene standards of the establishment. Requests for additional towels were met with sighs and eye rolls, as if asking for basic amenities was an unreasonable burden.
The room itself was a study in disappointment. Outdated furnishings, peeling wallpaper, and a general lack of maintenance created an atmosphere that was far from the comfortable and inviting ambiance one would expect from a hotel. The bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning unit seemed to be stuck in a perpetual state of inadequacy, leaving the room either too hot or too cold, with no middle ground.
To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was painfully slow, rendering any attempts to work or even browse the internet a frustrating exercise in patience. In a world where connectivity is crucial, such a fundamental flaw is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer modern amenities.
The dining experience at Hotel Rex Milano was equally disappointing. The breakfast, touted as a highlight, was a lackluster affair with a limited selection of uninspiring, seemingly stale offerings. The dining area itself lacked any semblance of atmosphere, making the entire meal feel like a chore rather than a pleasant start to the day.
In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how regrettable my stay at Hotel Rex Milano was. The combination of woeful service, dismal room quality, and lackluster dining options ensures that I will never consider staying at this establishment again. I strongly advise anyone contemplating a visit to Milan to steer clear of Hotel Rex Milano, as there are undoubtedly far superior options available in this beautiful city. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by choosing a hotel that values its guests and upholds a basic standard of quality.
