Rooms.
73 rooms. I was in room 212 with cardinal red carpet and opulent furnishings, a walk in closet that looked like a leathered trunk. Despite the energy of the stylish crowds in the buzzing Piazza Quadrilatero, once in the room, it felt like I was in my own hidden cloister & sanctuary
@ the hotel.
Elegant beautiful public and serene private spaces. For the holiday season, the courtyard has been turned into an enchanting ice skating rink
Food & drinks.
There is the more formal Beef Bar from Monte Carlo but I only had apertivo @ Rumore Bar & then restaurant 10_11 which had its hits & misses but great service, wine selection & generous portions of truffles

5/5 impeccable stay
One of the highlights of the stay was unexpectedly running into Javier, whom I first met years ago at Portrait Roma. It was a wonderful reunion and a reminder of what makes the Portrait brand so special: the people. Being recognized and welcomed back like that added a deeply personal touch and made the stay feel even more meaningful.
Portrait Milano is notably the largest of all the Portrait properties, and it carries that scale gracefully while still maintaining the brand’s signature intimacy and warmth. Even during a busy fashion week, the atmosphere felt calm, polished, and well managed.
This was a short visit, but one that left me wanting more. I would absolutely return for a longer stay to fully enjoy everything the property has to offer.
What followed completely redefined our experience and demonstrated the hotel's commitment to excellence.
the true dedication of the Portrait Milano team became evident.
The staff, and particularly the management, did not dismiss our complaints. They showed genuine remorse and a strong desire to fix the issues immediately. They were proactive, attentive, and clearly committed to ensuring the rest of our stay was impeccable. We saw a team that truly wanted to make things right and put sincere effort into doing so.
Conclusion:
Luxury travel sometimes means encountering unexpected problems, but the measure of a truly great hotel is how they handle the recovery. Portrait Milano’s team demonstrated that they have the passion and the willingness to go above and beyond to rectify mistakes.
We recognize that sometimes things don't go as planned, but the determination of the staff to correct the course has restored our faith. They worked hard to earn back our trust and succeeded. Based on the effort, attitude, and warmth displayed by the team during the recovery, we will definitely be returning.
Throughout our stay, the staff remained very rude. They brought the bill to our table without being asked, clearly signaling that we were expected to leave. The café remained empty the entire time we were there.
It’s especially disappointing considering that a cappuccino costs €10. Definitely no recommendation :)
We are deeply grateful for the exceptional warmth, professionalism, and genuine care that we received from the entire Portrait Milano team. We travel frequently and have stayed in many well-known hotels around the world, but this experience was truly unmatched.
We would especially like to express our sincere appreciation to Sara for her remarkable kindness, elegance, and thoughtful attention. After the Grace of God, so much of what made our stay unforgettable was because of her support, coordination, and heartfelt hospitality. She embodies the true spirit of excellence and represents the highest level of guest care.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay meaningful and memorable. We will certainly return, and we highly recommend Portrait Milano to anyone seeking a world-class experience in Milan.
