Palazzo Degli Affreschi in Catania

I had the most unpleasant experience with this venue. I have 20+ years of leading small groups and I was never treated with such a luck of professionalism . I had 3 rooms booked (4 months in advance) included their confirmation email - they had my credit card details and a lovely email that’s said we cannot wait to welcome you in Catania. I show up for the check in only to be told that they do not have my reservation and that they were fully booked. When I share the email signed by the owner she said but that the reservation. Was made too long ago that something must have gone wrong. Clearly they do not have a system that tracks their rooms and reservations, clearly they should not be in the service industry creating massive problems for the guests. Finally, they can only put me in a house 17 minutes drive from Catania - meanwhile my tour arranged for the group in Catania when caput due to this nightmare they creates for me. I want to also add that they accused me of being upset and rude. The loss that this created for me (as my clients were very upset) is irreparable. Please think twice before booking your room here
