Urban Pop Bnb in Catania

Cool place just in the center, close to museums, shopping, restaurants. Clean and nice room. Friendly personnel and quite social place. Loved it. The wc and bathroom was in the corridor, but our private.

The best hostel in Catania! The moment you enter, you feel welcomed. The owner and the volunteers are super friendly, always smiling and willing to help you with anything :) The rooms are very spacious. The beds are very wide (even though it’s bunk beds, they are wide enough for 2ppl). Each bed has a dedicated power slot, bed lamp, and locker. You do not need your own padlock for the locker - it is locked with a key that you get from reception. The bathrooms are big and clean. It is not a party hostel, but you can socialize in the common area in the evenings as lots of ppl spend their time here. They serve delicious and abundant breakfasts: ricotta cheese, pesto, crackers, tomato, cucumber, butter, jam, fruits, homemade cakes (at least 2 different flavours every day), coffee, juice, tea. Wow! There is a fully equipped kitchen which you can use to prepare your own food. The hostel is located 4 minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo. The street might look a bit unwelcoming, but it is a safe neighborhood.

Smashing hostel with a darling host Salvo and his staff. Large size bunk beds which are comfortable. Biggest hostel room I have stayed on. Dedicated socket/ sidelights and lockers. Salvo is so kind and nothing is too much trouble for him. He is there serving breakfast every morning which is delicious, vegan friendly and homemade. Cakes, biscuits, tomato based salads with ricotta cheese. Toasts jam. Tea/coffee/ squash. cornflakes. Fat juicy oranges The hostel is imaginatively decorated with reclaimed materials. Space for digital nomads to work. The WiFi is pretty good. Equipped kitchen with fridge, kettle, hob. Towels can be hired for 2 Euros. There is a big bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower and sink. You can join Salvo on a trip to Mount Etna. In the summer the day ends at the beach. It is in a great position behind the fish market. Proceed up Via Christopher Columbus and you will see MacDonald s on your left. Go past a little bit and no 53 is on your left. Go up in the lift to floor 3. Turn left and there is the hostel entrance. Getting to and from the airport is super easy! Shuttle bus runs all the way to the bridge near the hostel. Going to the airport the buses run from very early morning every 20 minutes cost is 4 Euros. Ticket from the driver. Fast journey of about 10-15 minutes. The airport is packed by 0800 and there are long lines for security Food and drink is quite cheap Remember to take mosquito repellent I was a tasty meal on my last night there!

The hostel is in Catania town few steps from bus stop to go around Sicily and port . Safe zone . I was alone at 1am no problem. Very clean ,bright and lot of space for everyone. Female room was enormous with private lock safe wardrobe each bed .Duble Bunch beds or just double. No noise Air condition. Quality of sleep :room not on the road very silence. People was super kind waiting for me at 1,30 AM and give me some to drink. In the morning I had 3 slices of vegan cake (I’m vegan,try the orange one), and drinks more early than normal breakfast time . Thank to all staff hope to see you soon
