I had stayed here three nights from Oct 23, 2025. This is an excellent place.

Spotless, comfortable, helpful staff, wifi speed excellent, just enough amenities. Wish there was hair conditioner included as well

First, high cost-performance next to Basilica S, Maria degli Angeli close to the station (within 15min-walk) clean room shower is perfect good breakfast

Room was clean. Staff were nice and friendly. The location is about 2 miles away from center of Assisi. Need to buy a couple of €1.3 tickets good for 80 minutes; to go in Assisi and back to hotel daily .

Quick check-in as we arrived after 8 pm. Kiara went above and beyond for me when I asked for ice (which is a luxury in Italy). The room was a nice size and very clean. Breakfast was awesome and included an omelette station. Overall, it has been the nicest hotel we have stayed at over the last week in Italy. Highly recommend.

We spent five nights in Hotel Moderno. The best part was the people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us great advice on towns to visit and bus stop locations. We had a wonderful stay- everyone was very friendly, it was spotlessly clean, breakfast perfect. And conveniently just across the street from the train station and the bus into old town. It's a nice gallery hotel. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. The room arrangements or the building layout is confusing esp for the elderly. We were lucky to have a room that has a balcony that's facing the street. They serve good food! Plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The Basilica de Santa Maria degli Angeli is a 3- minute walk.

This is a fabulous family run hotel a little way away from Assisi. The restaurant is very good. All the team are wonderful people who go out of their way to help. The hotel is in the main (mostly pedestrian) street of Santa Maria degli Angeli - surrounded by restaurants/bars and a stone’s throw from the Basilica. A great base to visit the region by car, but you can use trains and buses as well.

Had a really lovely stay at the Assisium which was my base for visiting Assisi. Easy, friendly accommodation, very clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. This is a beautiful B&B, such modern rooms built into an older, lovely building. The owners are terrific and helpful. The breakfast is small, but satisfying. Only negative comment would be the first floor rooms, located right off the small lobby/breakfast area, are quite loud when guests come and go. Request a room on a higher floor.

Locanda Giustini was a great two night stop on our tour through Italy. This place has very comfortable lodging and delicious meals. The service was even better. We talked with the owners and were given a short tour of the historic building and an explanation of how they came to be there.
