We recently stayed at Hotel Michelangelo Palace in Terni, and my experience was largely positive. Here’s a breakdown of my stay:

Location: The hotel is conveniently situated right across from the train station, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train. It’s also a great base for exploring the beautiful Umbria region.

Accommodation: My room was spacious and clean, equipped with modern amenities that ensured a comfortable stay. The decor was updated, and our room was well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep for our return home.

Service: The staff at Michelangelo Palace were friendly and attentive. From the check-in process to any requests we had during our stay, everyone was professional. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat at their restaurant because they were having an event.

The hotel is located near a transportation hub.

Best spot I stayed in Italy.

Nice location, good hotel, but overpriced

We stopped over here for a night on our way to Rome Fiumicino airport. At first I cringed at the sight of the building. Upon entering however, the lobby appeased me somewhat, and the receptionist greatly. We got a good room (albeit very heavy decor but that's a question of taste I presume), attentive, kind service. Parking was a boon and right under the hotel. The hotel has a very cute garden, a small gym and a pool looking on to it. When we arrived on a Saturday morning, the town seemed so dead. However, it all came alive by the evening and we fell in love with it. The hotel lobby itself took on a completely different aura in the evening, all lit up expertly. Our room too looked very nice all lit up with the generous lighting. Breakfast was all right. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel if you don't have a car
Perfect location by the train station and walking distance to the city center.
A little worn, moisture damage in our room.
Downside was that the breakfast was almost empty when we arrived at 8am on a Sunday morning.
Unfortunately didn't have time to try the spa but it would be a nice service.
Very helpful staff.

Good location (100m) to train station. Entry stairs are a problem with luggage.
Breakfast service is spotty. Foods are not restocked.

It would be very difficult to find another hotel where the staff are as kind and helpful as those at the Michelangelo Palace, Terni. It is an extremely pleasant place, with amenities such as an excellent spa. The lobby lounge is a very comfortable place to relax with a beer, and there is a happy, relaxed atmosphere. Secure car-parking and It's location near the town centre and short distance from the railway station are a real bonus. I will certainly stay there again.
