Hotel Garden in Garda

The hotel is full of services, massage, gym, swimming pool and tennis courts, clean and very friendly owners.

A wonderful location, close to the center, yet idyllic and quiet by the lake! The room overlooks the lake and has a large, sunny balcony. The pool and grounds are clean and well-maintained, plus there are tennis courts and a gym. The owners are always helpful and accommodating. We loved it!

This is a quiet smallish hotel a short wander from the main Lake Garda promenade.
The decor is a bit dated and we had a mountain view room out the back which was quite small. The bathroom was particularly dated and the shower could do with an upgrade. Having said that it was functional and comfortable.
The pool area is large and with enough sunbeds for all. However we wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with small children, it really is a couples hotel.

Our first visit to the Lakes , traditional small Italian family run hotel , no dinner service but why would you want that when there are so many restaurants within a short walk. Breakfast was very good, a buffet with eggs as you like them with bacon etc waiter served. The buffet had fruit, bread, croissants, cereals, cake etc , ideal. Coffee of your liking was served and of course very good . Liked the white tablecloths ! We only had lunch once at the hotel once , really nice pasta . Good pool to the front ( bit too cold for us to use) and never any issue with sun beds . Definitely recommend the lake/ pool view rooms . Only one small lift we could see but no problem for us and hotel rooms are only on first and second floors. Small quiet bar which we tended to use for last drinks in the evening . Good barman and selection of drinks at not rip off prices. Room was good, nice balcony, free use of safe, small fridge. As other reviews, the shower is small , you needed to get it to the right temp before stepping in and take off the shower head after say applying hair shampoo , ie not much room to manoeuvre! It was ok but if you are a bit large might prove a little problematic ! One thing we really missed was tea making facilities . This may be more the norm in Italy. However, I’m sure I overheard someone asking for a kettle at reception and not getting a negative response . Unfortunately, heard when we were leaving. Lots of restaurants/ bars within a fairly short walk, you can walk for miles along the lakeside or take a ferry , the terminal is about 10 mins away . The queues can be fairly long so get there earlier and buy tickets in advance . Would visit again , speaking to other guests there were lots of frequent travellers to the hotel.

Great location, a short walk from all the restaurants, yet with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere and a view of the hill. Great breakfasts and lunch, eg nice homemade biscuits and an abundance of coffee! We were a last-minute booking so could only get a Margherita room on the back which, like the pizza covers the basics well. Everything was clean and worked well however the shower was a little small by today's standards. Service was very good and they were very accommodating providing secure garage storage for our expensive hired road bikes, although a nice touch is that they provide city bikes for free, great for getting about locally. There is also a good gym and 4 tennis courts that we would have tried had we been there longer.

We cannot fault this Hotel & what a history. The room, facilities, cleanliness, service & attention to detail were all amazing!! Staff were very helpful & nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts & lunches were lovely - all in such a wonderful setting. What more could you ask? Thank you so much to everyone at Hotel Garda for a wonderful holiday & great memories. We shall be back! I have just returned from this hotel after a weeks holiday, a very traditional Italian family run hotel very very clean, very helpful staff (couldn't do enough for you) Carlo & Magdalena (owners) plus bar & restaurant staff were excellent, great location to town centre plenty of sunbeds available just brilliant !!!! would definitely recommend & go back !!!! Only tiny tiny criticism would have been nice to tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Fabulous family run hotel, breakfast was plentiful and great quality. Rooms very clean and beds really comfortable. Shower is a little small a think if your 6ft could be a squeeze 😊 Towels changed every day, cleaners lovely. Wish we had upgraded to pool view as we were at the back of the property so quite dark and small balcony. But still would recommend! Ideal location and so peaceful around the pool.

This is a 4 star paradise, run by a family, who know how to please. Their enthusiasm, is also exhibited in all the staff, who's priority is to ensure you have a fantastic stay and nothing is too much trouble. Every task is completed in a timely, organised and friendly way. The room and hotel were spotless. The dining room was well organised and with plenty of choice (we only had breakfast), and it was all served with a friendly smile. The bar staff were very helpful and would serve you even around the pool. The pool was kept in order and all the chairs were rearranged when guests had finished with them. The management, office and reception staff were all well on top of things and the leadership model shone through to all employees. Quite a number of the guests had returned over several years and I don't blame them. THANKS FOR A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY Ian and linda

Room very clean with good housekeeping service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked for next year.
