Spacious, clean and classic hotel. Very good services. Convenient with free parking space. Walkable distance to a variety of restaurants. Great breakfast selection.

It was a very spacious and beautiful hotel. The only inconvenience was that there were no power outlets by the bed.

Last year I stayed at the Hotel & Resort and it was great, so this year I chose the Kyu-Karuizawa location for its convenience.
I was very satisfied with the clean rooms and the attentive service of the staff.
The bathtub and shower booth aren't the most user-friendly, but since there is a large public bath, I guess it's tolerable. (After a short shower, the sink flooded. You have to be careful where you point the shower.)
Overall, I'm very satisfied and would like to stay again.

The hotel is 20 minutes walk from Karuizawa Station and only 10 minutes walk to old Karuizawa.

Great location and good service provided from professional staff

I stayed at this hotel on a last-minute trip to Karuizawa.
The room had a bath and was spacious and comfortable.
I really liked the large communal bath and open-air bath.
I booked without dining, but the male staff member patiently guided me around the hotel and the dining options.
There are popular soba restaurants and bakeries on Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza Street, so I decided to eat there, and the fact that this hotel was within walking distance was a deciding factor in my decision.
The hotel has a beautiful exterior, and I felt that the room interior would appeal to women.
It's a small hotel, so it's not noisy, and the elevators and other amenities are never crowded, making it a comfortable stay.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but...

The only downside is that the young female staff member who helped me check out was very brusque and didn't even smile, which left me feeling very disappointed when I left. She's not suited to a service industry where you just go about your business.
I think the male staff should learn a little more.

Overall it was very good, but the front desk told us that there would be free drinks from 2pm to 8pm, but there was no wine, only drinks. I was a little disappointed, after all, I was looking forward to it.
