Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan.
We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them...
We just finished a day stay and was not convinced at all. Our tour operator suggested to stay there but in my mind there are much better Ryokan.
If the place gets a face lift , improves the kitchen in a big way and fixes some obvious issues they may go back to be a famous place but I will strongly recommend my friends to avoid at all costs.
We arrived and told abruptly check-in was only at 15h but...
Not very good. No recommend!!!! The food is terrible, onset is ok….. not agai
The furniture is a bit shabby in places, but otherwise everything is great.
It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.
Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere
Unbelievably tranquil and wonderful service. The hot springs were amazing to enjoy and trying the traditional food was lovely. The rooms were more like a small traditional villa spread over the grounds and the springs are very private and open 24/7 though some are under rooms so be mindful of others above you when it comes to noise. Very relaxing.
There is so much nature around and some lovely sights...

The room was clean, but the toilet flush button was hard to press, which was a bit of a hassle. The hot spring facilities were small, but they had an open-air bath and sauna. The only disappointment was that it was raining, and the outdoor bath and stairs didn't have a roof, so I didn't feel like soaking in them. The stairs were covered with artificial turf, but they got soaked in the rain and were...
The foreign female staff member was very helpful and gave us easy-to-understand directions. I would like to use this service again.
I originally booked through another website, but when the number of guests increased, I found out that even a single person could stay, so I booked again. My wife's parents, who accompanied me, said they had a very relaxing stay. The facilities were quite different from what was shown, but the breakfast buffet was very satisfying, with a large selection and quantity. There are play areas nearby, and...
Excellent! 👍🏻 The hot spring was so comfortable, the room was huge, and the buffet was delicious.
I think the location is good, but it's not a very clean inn.
There is dust and mold, and the wallpaper is peeling off. The paint on the walkway is peeling, and the smoking deck outside the front desk is warped and has holes in it. The water in the public bath was lukewarm and did not warm up at all due to the addition of too much water. No repairs have been made at all.
The place is very remote, the equipment is very old and there are signs of peeling wallpaper and spider webs in many places. The sound insulation effect is very poor and the cicadas chirp loudly at night. However, it has a hot spring and a swimming pool with relatively complete equipment. If you really want to come, I suggest you book breakfast and dinner. There are no restaurants or convenience stores...

We started with a welcome drink of matcha green tea 🍵 and tea snacks.

This is a private hotel with a wonderful view. The food is also excellent, with sashimi and dishes using the local specialty, kinmedai, going well with sake pairings.
The dinner& breakfast were absolutely amazing -one of the top 3 ,which I ever experienced traveling in Japan. Also private bath tub on balcony with free water flowing from natural hot spring , overlooking from the elevation point East side of Pacific Ocean ,and surrounded by greenery - it is truly impressive and very calming at the same time. However this hotel does not care or bother about plastic...
It is definitely one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed.
1. The staff members were very friendly and professional. Some staff could speak good English.
2. The views were amazing! On the balcony you could enjoy the stunning views of Sagami Bay and the birdsongs.
3. The service was undoubtedly excellent!
4. It’s not near the station, but the shuttle bus can take you to the hotel from the station...
I stayed at this inn where you can see the harvest moon. There are only a few rooms, but they have hot springs, so you can bathe in the hot springs whenever you want. The kaiseki cuisine was delicious. I think there are some issues with the cleaning situation. I felt that it was a little disappointing as to whether it was worth the price.
This was my first time staying here, and it was as good as I expected. First of all, the view from the room was great, and the temperature of the open-air bath, which was fed directly from the source, was just right. There were also two rooms, each with an air conditioner, and since I get hot easily, I was the only one who was able to sleep in the Japanese-style room with the temperature set low. The...

I was a little surprised by the parking, but it was very comfortable.
The food, both dinner and breakfast, was delicious!
I was very satisfied and it was more than worth the price!
Thank you very much!
The room was generally nice and spacious, and there was a public hot spring bath available.
However, since it's located in the countryside, transportation is difficult and walking distance is quite far. I recommend asking the hotel to arrange a car. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to Mount Omuro.
A standard Japanese-style hot spring hotel with excellent kaiseki cuisine, spacious rooms with excellent privacy, good hygiene, friendly service, and high cost-effectiveness. It is a hotel worth staying in!
The surrounding environment is average.
It's a natural place, so there are a lot of bugs, so it may not be suitable for people who hate bugs. We got hit by a typhoon, and the roof was leaking on the walkway, and it seems like it's been leaking for a while, so it needs to be fixed! I think it would be nice and calming if the facilities and equipment were improved.
The food was very delicious! The portions were large for both dinner and breakfast...
I didn't have a taxi at Izukogen station, so I walked for about 30 minutes. When I went to the parking lot of the hotel, the staff picked me up and led me to the front desk, and the check-in was smooth.
I chose Ayakumo's room with an open-air hot spring bath, and unfortunately I couldn't see 🌊 from the room. The overall room is spacious and the baths and toilets are spacious and well-cleaned. The TV...

An Unforgettable Stay: Pure Bliss and Relaxation
My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! It was incredibly quiet, comfortable, and truly relaxing.
A Luxurious Escape
Everywhere you looked, there were stunning ocean views, which was simply breathtaking. The rooms are a true highlight: each one features a private onsen (hot spring bath) and a massage machine—the perfect combination...
We booked this as part of our honeymoon and it was superb. The food, service, scenery and onsen were excellent, a truly wonderful experience and highly recommended.
Had a beautiful two night stay here for our honeymoon! We stayed on the top floor and gosh was it worth it! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The facilities were incredible. What a luxurious, relaxing and wholesome experience it was to stay here. Well worth the price. Cannot recommend it enough.
We didn't even realize this was an all inclusive, but it was fantastic. We ordered something like the seafood special dinner, thinking it was a huge sashimi platter for dinner. Turns out it was a huge sashimi platter and dinner. Room was huge and view was great.
It's about a three-hour drive from Tokyo. It's located on a road facing the ocean, so it's easy to find. I booked the "Esthetic 60" plan through the Ikyu reservation site, which includes a 60-minute Balinese aroma treatment. There are 20 rooms in total. This time, I stayed on the top floor, the 8th floor, which features a private bar area offering drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. Other added perks...

Extremely helpful and hospitable staff, even gave us a ride to the station after we checked out! The Japanese style room itself we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, so this coupled with a traditional shared bath was a great experience!
A very satisfying stay! The hotel had a nostalgic Japanese style, especially the many Japanese decorations and paintings in the room, which made me feel like I was transported back in time (although I don't know what it used to be like) 😉. The room was very clean, and the hotel's private onsen (hot spring bath) could be booked using the provided QR code for your own private use. The owner was very...
Owner is very kind, the food is incredible, and we liked the reservation system for onsen, which made it private for us, totally loved our stay here!
This hotel was surprisingly good. I think I might have gotten an upgrade to a six-person room, but even if it was a single room, I'd give it the same score. First, the check-in process was super quick, and you get an hour of private onsen time for every night you stay. On top of that, the owner even drove me to Mount Omuro in the morning! The only thing I regret is not booking breakfast, because it...
A very satisfying stay. It's an eight-minute walk from Izu Kogen. After checking in, the hotel explained all the features in detail. The bathrooms are shared, but there are multiple rooms, so even when the hotel is fully booked, it wasn't crowded. They were also very clean. The hotel also recommended great restaurants nearby, including Daiso, a supermarket, a drugstore, and BR Ice Cream. The next day...

The full-course dinner was excellent and very delicious. There are three hot springs with good water, which can be locked and used for relaxation. Breakfast can be enjoyed in your room, and everything is delicious. The hotel is beautifully appointed, and although there is a little noise from the neighboring rooms, it is a good value and highly recommended.
This was my first time traveling alone.
It was a very safe place, with early check-in and late check-out, and I was able to relax very comfortably.
The room was spacious enough for me to stay alone, and very clean.

This is a wonderful pension where you can really feel the warmth of the couple.
When I arrived at the building, I was greeted by dolphin figurines at the entrance. Inside, there were many angel- and dolphin-themed goods.
There were also dolphin goods not only throughout the building but also in the rooms, which made me incredibly happy as a dolphin lover.
The building was immaculately maintained...
This time, I was indebted to this pension when I was looking for an inn nearby when I went to see the illumination of Izu Granpal Park. I had no sense of direction here, so I had to check the location on the phone many times before arriving. The couple was very nice and we had a lot of conversations, and it was fun. Satisfied with the proper course meal for the plan with dinner

It was a truly wonderful inn.
I'm very sorry to say that I booked the wrong date and time, but they treated me so warmly and I was truly grateful for their hospitality.
The bath was private, so I was able to relax in it, and all the food was absolutely delicious.
Since I was pregnant, they made some adjustments to the food.
It was a very warm inn. I recommend it!
I would definitely like to stay again
I stayed here with two friends on a road trip. The food was excellent, including the pan-fried salmon raised in the freshwater of Mount Fuji, which was refreshing yet richly flavorful. The beef fillet topped with foie gras was also very satisfying in both quality and quantity, and the course was highly refined from appetizer to dessert. The guest bathroom was a bit compact, but the open-air hot spring...
This was my second time here.
The food was delicious the last time I visited, so I wanted to eat there again, so I came back with a friend.

The building is a little old, but it's well-maintained and comfortable. The water pressure in the shared bath is low, but you can enjoy the free-flowing hot spring anytime, and it's very relaxing!
Staff were extremely friendly. You can book onsen for private use. Simple breakfast..
I think it's a good-sized hot spring inn. The large public bath is alternated between men and women, so I was able to experience both. The family bath was also clean and comfortable. The water was good. It was my first time in Ito, but I was very impressed. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.
We love the experience here! Totally recommend
It's a bit of a walk from ITO station with a suitcase. A taxi is about 800-1000 yen. There's no water cooler or coffee machine. The five onsen are enough for everyone. Breakfast is modest, but the scrambled eggs and sausages are okay.
But the Japanese-style room with a view of the city and mountains is fantastic! The mountain air and sea are fantastic! The sea is also about 20 minutes away, so it's...

This was my second time staying at an auberge.
As other reviews have said, this inn is based on the idea that "the food is the star, and the inn is just a place to sleep." I visited after being recommended that "the food is excellent for the price," and it truly was.
The food was mainly composed of vegetables from the inn's own garden, and the variety was plentiful, leaving me quite full. Still, each...
I was looking forward to visiting this hotel because I'd heard it offered delicious French cuisine at a good price.
As other reviews have said, the guest rooms were antique and a bit dated. The unit bath didn't seem usable.
The bed had stiff springs, and the futon was thin and heavy.
The hot springs are easy to tell when they're open; they're always available when the lights in your room are off.

I stayed at Auberge Le Temps, located near Lake Ippeki in Izu, next to the Ikeda Museum of 20th Century Art.
It's a pleasant Western-style building with high ceilings, and a sculpture by the late artist Kenji Shigeoka decorates the entrance.
I checked in a little late, and was a little flustered as I was given two dinner times: 5:20 or 5:45 PM, but the staff kindly guided me accordingly.
There are...
While it's true that the road to get there is a steep mountain path, the rooms are antique and somewhat dated, and the beds are a little uncomfortable, all of these shortcomings can be forgiven for the single course meal. I've visited many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, but this is worthy of two Michelin stars. You can feel the chef's dedication to selecting each and every ingredient...
If you want to splurge and have the experience of the equivalent of a French 2 star Michelin, that’s the place to go, service is fantastic as well as food and wine list, with a Japanese twist of course. Recommended in deed

I found out that this inn was certified as a MIKIHOUSE Baby-Welcome Inn, so I brought my 4-month-old baby there.
Located in Izukogen, it's a little far from the Tokyo metropolis, but that makes it quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay.
The exterior appears to be a renovated old villa or pension, and is very stylishly designed.

We recently stayed at this inn on our first family trip with our baby, who was about six months old.
They had everything you need, from milk supplies and diapers to a bouncer, a crib, a baby bath, and skincare products.
As the inn boasts a "baby-welcome" policy, we were very pleased with the level of facilities.

The other day, my pregnant wife and I stayed at this hotel.
First of all, the kaiseki cuisine was amazing. Seasonal ingredients were carefully prepared, and each dish was so delicious that we exclaimed, "Wow!" As I was pregnant, I was also impressed by the consideration given to my body, which I really appreciated.
Next, the best part was being able to relax in the hot spring attached to our room....
