Service: Excellent
The staff is super friendly and always greet us with smiles. Helpin us with check-in and photo taking. The room is spacious and cozy.
One thing can improve is about the emergency exit sign. It is too bright.
In brief, we will come again.
The hotel's all-inclusive meals were great, and the service was excellent too.
Good onsan and good western- style room. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent!
Staff are very sincere and helpful. The room is modern and extremely comfortable.
Quiet onsen accommodation with excellent service. Easy to reach with free shuttle bus service. Staff spoke enough English for communication. It's a boutique onsen experience with huge room and attached private onsen (spring water). Highly recommended.

When I booked, I confirmed the number of guests, gender, and age, but they provided all male yukatas with two pairs of women's slippers! Dinner service was very slow, so much so that I had to rush them.
The hotel's breakfast and dinner were delicious, the service was great, and the environment was clean. It also has a private family hot spring.
This was my second visit since 2017, and it was just as wonderful! It was a hot spring trip with my mom, and everything was excellent from the start. We stayed in the annex, and they moved our luggage for both check-in and check-out, which was incredibly convenient. What really stood out was how they carried our heavy suitcases instead of just dragging them. The main bathhouse was fantastic, of course...
Plenty of parking available, and the staff were incredibly attentive. A soak in the hot spring each night ensured a wonderful sleep. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the surroundings are quiet, elegant, and peaceful, truly allowing for a relaxing holiday.
This hotel offers truly thoughtful and attentive service, from check-in to check-out. The dining is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and exquisitely prepared dishes that are a delight to the palate. The rooms are clean, bright, and impeccably arranged, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. Plus, with both indoor and outdoor hot springs, featuring clean, temperature-controlled pools, it's the...
It was a bit of a walk from the station, and finding the entrance was a little tricky, but the staff took a group photo with us during check-in and were very friendly, so it felt like a good start! As expected, the hot springs were wonderful, and the view was so beautiful. We could also use the private bath almost whenever we wanted without it being too crowded. My parents loved it.
I'd love to go again if I get the chance.
The staff are incredibly friendly.
The environment was great, the food was delicious, and everything was perfect. It was also a great way to enjoy the outdoor family hot springs with your partner or spouse. If the weather is nice in the evening, you can even see the stars.
The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. It's the best place for a quiet rest.
Nice Onsen hotel. Friendly and helpful staffs , nice foods.
The scenery in the mountains is unique!
The ryokan is not up to the expectation as what google review or trip.com ratings. Suite is quite old and smelly. Onsen area have cob webs. The family onsen is not like ig picture standard with lots of insects and a gecko. Food nevertheless is ok.

The hotel is large but old. Reviews mentioned guests could use the heating for free during certain periods, but that wasn't the case; it was charged for all times! The breakfast was plentiful! The service was... well, let's just say it was a bit lacking.
The kaiseki was delicious, and I came with my mom.
She praised the staff for being incredibly friendly.
There were outdoor and indoor baths, so we chose whichever.
The accommodations were clean and nice.
The most unforgettable moment of my trip to Yufuin was my stay at Oyado Kaikatei Ryokan.
From the moment I checked in, the staff's bright smiles and meticulous attention to detail truly impressed me. Each member of staff genuinely welcomed me, making me feel as if I was visiting family I'd known for years.
The room was impeccably clean, and I was impressed by the attention to detail. The refined Japanese...
Wonderful hotel.
We stayed there two nights.
It’s very simple to find it
Traditional Japanese style dinner was delicious
Private bathroom was very good
In the hotel very clean, nice and quiet
We absolutely love it
The service is first-class. Although the environment is old, it is well maintained. There are indoor and outdoor private baths, which are very comfortable. As for the two meals, the dinner is eight points overall and tastes very good. The breakfast is completely unacceptable and there is no way to eat it.
I brought my mother.
There are reviews saying that the facilities are old,
but I liked it :)
The staff is friendly, the hot spring temperature is just right,
and it's clean.
Next time, I want to come back with my mother and sister's family.

Although the hotel's location is a bit remote, they offer a shuttle service, and the staff are all friendly, sincere, and polite! The room is spacious, clean, tidy, and well-equipped! The surroundings are beautiful, and the hot springs are wonderful! Overall, it's excellent! Highly recommended! 👍👍
The hotel's location is quite remote, nestled in the woods. Walking around at night felt really eerie with no streetlights, almost like a bear might pop out! Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of dishes, and for our two-day stay, the menu never repeated, which was great for enjoying different foods.
I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and efficient, making the entire experience seamless and welcoming.

Onsen was nice, the meals were decent and delicious, would definitely come again.
I have been here twice already. This time I was a bit disappointed as you can tell the room is old and facility is old. No surprise on the food. I might not re visit again.
Quite far from Yufuin JR station but the hotel offered free shuttle (last service 17:00) but you could easily take a taxi which took about 7 minutes from the station. The room was very spacious and clean, onsen was located on the G/F which was easily accessible. Dinner and breakfast was available and highly recommended (there was nothing else near the hotel anyway).

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well laid out. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The private onsen was spotless and well kept. We could book a slot for free when we check in.
We drove and park at the accom.
Easy 10-15 min walk to yufuin village without luggage.
Clean accomodaton with nice onsen despite old fashion design, service is good, free shuttle (taxi) to the train station is provided.
The environment here is lovely, and the hot springs are incredibly relaxing. The breakfast and dinner provided were both delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
Hotel location is slightly away from main street Yufuin. I emailed to ask if possible late check in and later dinner and all promising. Great to have the private hot spring reserved on arrival evening that we, two couples of four persons can enjoy peace and quiet moment with our love ones. Rooms are tidy, clean but aging. Staff are extremely helpfully. They help us to call to book Horse Carriage Ride...
The hotel's location is quite far from the station, about a 25-minute walk. However, they do offer pick-up and drop-off service from the station, which we didn't arrange beforehand. Walking along the road for a stretch was a bit tough. On the upside, the surroundings of the hotel are very quiet. The room style is a bit old-fashioned but spacious. The evening onsen was great, I had it all to myself...
The hotel itself is a bit older, and you can definitely feel its age in some areas of the property. That said, it still maintains a certain traditional charm. One thing to note is that the location isn’t the easiest to access on foot—you’ll really need a car to get around comfortably, especially if you plan to explore the surrounding area.

The hygiene at Tanglu is average, but the location and service are excellent.
Located on the central side street of Yufuin, the room was not big, just enough for three people. But fortunately it was very quiet. When I woke up the next day, it was snowing!
This is a family stay, they do not know Japanese and English, but can communicate (Body Language) In addition, alcohol and water are all you can drink really great, the family will stay very happy.
The room is large and the facilities are good. Except for the private bath, which is a bit old, it is open all day, allowing you to take a bath freely. Ctrip's room details are not detailed, otherwise there is no need to book an extra room. The set meals were not very good, but the surrounding shops closed too early, so I had no choice.
It rained in Yufuin on the day I went, but you cleaned all the carriers yourself and were very kind.
It was convenient to have an English-speaking staff, and I was satisfied with the meal!

The food is delicious, the hot spring water is straight from the source, the rooms are clean, and I like this inn. I also liked that there was a water server.

The food was amazing. All the dishes were made with seasonal ingredients and were delicious. The rice cooked in a clay pot was shiny and smooth, and the rice we couldn't finish was made into onigiri. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. On the 2nd day, our room's TV was not working and the staff promptly replaced it when we were out, which truly appreciated.

Very clean courtyard hot springs, suitable for families and couples traveling together.
a bit away from the main precinct, but got it's own onsens which is good
Everything was great – the location, the stay, and the food!
The hotel staff were all incredibly kind and genuine. A special thank you to the front desk team for accommodating my room change request during check-in. I'm also very grateful for their help during check-out when they solved my charging issue and even gave me a charging cable. Their hospitality was truly heartwarming. Thank you!

The location isn't great, but the pick-up service made it convenient! The ryokan is old, but well-maintained and has a great view.
A standard Japanese-style hotel with a natural hot spring. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent.
After dinner, we walked along a country road through wheat fields, surrounded by vast expanses of green.
On a very cool summer day, we walked to the lake.
