The staff is super friendly and always greet us with smiles. Helpin us with check-in and photo taking. The room is spacious and cozy. One thing can improve is about the emergency exit sign. It is too bright. In brief, we will come again.

Family hotel, about five rooms, very warm and comfortable, ten minutes walk from the station. We checked in at 4pm and the communication was basically understandable.

According to the regulations, check-in is not until 4 pm. Maybe because of the hot weather and because we were walking hard, we were allowed to check in an hour early. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. The location is pretty good because it’s private. It’s suit for guest comes with the car. About 15 mins drive to downtown. The room was big with private onsen, clean and simple. Quite far from Yufuin JR station but the hotel offered free shuttle (last service 17:00) but you could easily take a taxi which took about 7 minutes from the station. The room was very spacious and clean, onsen was located on the G/F which was easily accessible. Dinner and breakfast was available and highly recommended (there was nothing else near the hotel anyway).

After dinner, we walked along a country road through wheat fields, surrounded by vast expanses of green. On a very cool summer day, we walked to the lake. It was a wonderful experience. Take the JR train to Yufuin, and the hotel provides a shuttle service. It's about a 10-minute drive.

Food was disappointing for this price point. The onsen area relies on steam to block prying eyes. But this also means there is no outside view for us. The other property we stayed at offered better value, despite having a higher price.
