Had a great time at this resort hotel! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable! Had a great experience with all the ground staff. Breakfast, Lounge access staff were all excellent! Special thanks to Miyata, the lady in short hair with black jacket and trousers. They were lovely and super helpful and friendly.
Good services, bed room is clear and comfort! Williing to go again!
Despite being a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I was disappointed to find that lounge access and breakfast were both chargeable. I was told that such services are not included with bookings made through Trip.com. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn't have booked, making this a truly disappointing trip.
A great hotel in Karuizawa. Free parking is available if you're driving, and the breakfast is excellent value for money. (Renting a car is best for exploring this area)
A nice hotel in this area. Room is spacious, comfortable beds. Location is a bit out of the popular area. It is fine if you are driving. Breakfast is nice with most things that you need. The onsen bath area also quite big with outside bath.
This was my first time staying at the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel. The public onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, and while the facilities were clean, the area was a bit small. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and the environment was quiet. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. The hotel offers great value for money, and I was really impressed by the design—the atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the space are fantastic.
The highlight for me was definitely the Ofuro (public bath) and the sauna; they were so relaxing. I slept exceptionally well here. If you’re looking for a peaceful and high...
The hotel environment is beautiful, and the facilities are very new. A special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality, which really made our trip even better. The only downside is the breakfast—there aren't many options, and the taste is just average. The location is a bit remote, but there is a Lawson and a few restaurants nearby. Plus, the hotel provides a convenient shuttle bus to the train...
My husband and I had the best time! The hotel was conveniently located, a short drive from the train station and ski resorts. It is also very close to a snowboard rental. Want to give a shout-out to Ryu, who helped us communicate with the transport company when they sent us the wrong snowboard. Our stay wouldn't have been so lovely without Ryu and the team. Thank you!
I'd seen some reviews saying the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but I actually found them to be perfectly fine. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were very welcoming. Since it was winter, there weren't many tourists, so it was wonderfully quiet.
We booked two twin rooms for our group of three adults and one child, and we were all really happy with the room views.
We booked breakfast...
The room is quite spacious with a great design, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is grand with stunning floor-to-ceiling window views. There are shuttle services to the hot springs and outlet mall nearby, but the most convenient thing is the train station! 👍
I brought my own snowboard to Karuizawa. It's a 70-minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station to JR Karuizawa Station. The Shinkansen luggage racks have straps to secure snowboards. After exiting the station, head to the hotel service center (open until 7 PM) located on the far right of the 7/11 convenience store at the South Exit (Pic 7). You can drop off your luggage there and then explore the Plaza...

Awesome location for visiting Jigokudani Park (snow monkeys in hot springs) but otherwise isolated.
The room was very spacious, especially considering i was a solo traveler. The private onsen attached to the room was unexpected and must appreciated. The food was the highlight of my 2 night stay. I'd been to other food forward ryokans elsewhere before and while they were fancier, the food at Jinpyokaku...
An atmospheric old inn of great charm! My room was a comfortable, well maintained and had great style. I loved the private onsen bath. Dinner and breakfast were a real highlight with a mix of local beef specialties cooked at the table and delicious vegetable dishes. Did I mention drinks are free? How civilised is that? Finally, I found the staff an absolute delight. Helpful, considerate and most thoughtful...
My husband and I stayed here 4 nights for our honeymoon, and we are so glad we did. The stay includes a private kaiseki dining experience for breakfast and dinner. The food was locally sourced and fresh, and they were able to accommodate a pescatarian diet. I can’t speak highly enough of the service- they went above and beyond to make everything perfect, and the care they put into each dining experience...
I had an excellent two-night stay here and would highly recommend it.
The service was genuinely outstanding—some of the best I’ve experienced. When a taxi booking to Shiga Kogen fell through due to heavy snow, the owner personally drove me there, which I deeply appreciated. He also printed out the bus schedule and made sure I knew exactly how to get back. That level of care really stood out.

Tradional ryoken with onsen, right near snow monkey park. The people running this place are nicest and most helpful people. They were welcoming and really elevated our stay. The rooms were warm and confortable. The onsen was relaxing. The ambience of the entire place was just right. Would heartily reccomend.
Very nice room, very hot and good Springs and so kind housekeeper.

We had a great stay at the Okushiga Phoenix Hotel. The Italian dinner was simply perfect, the onsen was wonderful and relaxing, and the staff were consistently friendly and professional.
If you ski at Okushiga Kogen then you have to stop here. Great service. Awesome public lounge with great views
we had an amazing 5days family stay: the room was spacious for three, the food in both restaurants excellent. being straight in the slope, with a walk-through ski-room is very convenient. in- and outdoor onsen is an oasis of relaxation. provided cosmetics were amazing, i do regret not purchasing some for home after check-out.
the swiss/alpine theme has been applied thoroughly, with high quality and...
Great hotel, delicious food, professional and very helpful stuff, great facilities (onsen, pool, sauna, cold bath) and TOP location - ski in/out.
We stayed here for 5 nights and will definitely return. Highly recommended!
amazing place to stay for winter, great skiing and snowboarding rental area and great slope, the hotel restaurants are super nice, on the expensive end but worth it! recommend the Japanese restaurant! the hosts are nice and the rooms are very comfortable.
I came from the Snow Monkey Park Senjukaku and took a bus to Okushiga Plateau at the bus station for about 40 minutes. It drove all the way into the depths of the mountains. In the middle, I passed the mountain station where there was a cable car for sightseeing. As I walked further, I saw some dilapidated hotels. I was very worried, but when I reached the end, I could see the hotel. It was in good...
