Worth every penny, beside the awesome amenities I was led to expect from description, the staff was also extremely welcoming and went the extra mile - the proprietess even drove us to the train station in the morning.

Really lovely location. Best part is the private onsen. Pick up the key for private onsen from reception if it’s there and use for up to 30 mins at a time. Go back again as much as you like. It’s a really really hot spring, but there’s a cold water tap and it’s really tranquil and pretty.

We had a fabulous stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and incredibly accommodating of our young family. The private onsen was absolutely dreamy. We particularly enjoyed the traditional breakfast and thoughtful touches such as tea on arrival.

I genuinely cannot recommend this place more! If you’re thinking about staying in the town to try all the hot springs , or traveling to see the snow monkeys this by far is the best Ryokan in town! The public bathhouse was broken, so we couldn't shower at all, which was terrible. We had to resort to soaking in the private hot spring instead. The private hot spring had a queue, and guests needed to make reservations for each room. It was very inconvenient; we didn't get in until 11 PM. Great hotel, breakfast and lunch services worth every penny. However note that during the winter the room will remain cold no matter how you would set A/C unit. The cold wind is coming out the windows, so I advise you to block it using the upper bed sheet covers.

Reception helped us proactively for the very late check-in at 10:30pm. The room fixture and hotel facilities are old but within my expectation in that area and price range. It had an Onsen on sight which was nice. It’s a nice place and close to station. The beds are basically mattresses (futons) on the floor. This means very firm so for those who need more padding like my old body it can be a stiff night of sleep. Staff very friendly and for the money for 5 people it was great

Everyone on staff made us feel welcome from the start. Aziz and both ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and lovely people. We will always remember them abs their friendliness and how nice our stay was. Will stay here again. The onsen is fabulous!

Overall good accommodations - loved the traditional Japanese room we stayed in. It was spacious, clean and quiet.

The property is a little old and it shows in some areas but overall it was a great experience. The staff were all amazing and the bathhouse was excellent. Very short walk to the train and bus station.

We loved our time at this ryokan. The hosts were wonderful, and so accommodating. The room was huge and very comfortable.

The room is very nice and very close to the ski resort. There is also a small restaurant there which is convenient for eating. However, there are no shopping malls or convenience stores nearby so you have to drive.

Absolutely loved this hotel! It was the most comfortable stay of our entire trip. They have staff who speak Chinese, which made communication super easy. We felt very safe and at home here. Highly recommend checking it out if you're visiting Nagano!

Views from the rooms were amazing. Breakfast was slightly lacking compared to other onsen hotels I’ve stayed at. But dinner was really good! The onsen were clean and spacious. Staff were all polite and helpful. And parking is free as well.
