We had a pleasant stay in a twin room- room is clean and quiet with a small balcony.
Lobby has microwave and living room area for families.
Staff can speak English and are very friendly.
Will definitely stay here again if ever go back to Fuokuoka.

The staff is very accoomodating. The room is huge! I can just open my luggage all throughout my stay. I think you can open 3-4 large luggage inside the room. It's very clean and the communal lounge has a good ambience.

I was truly amazed by my stay at Montanbodo this time. The entire inn has a cozy, home-like atmosphere. The common areas are incredibly spacious and quiet, perfect for working or just relaxing. The staff are professional and enthusiastic, striking just the right balance. What impressed me most was the room size; even with two large suitcases laid out flat, there was still plenty of room to walk around, which is incredibly rare for this type of inn. Highly recommend! It was a very satisfying trip. The public areas are not only elegantly decorated with expansive views but also impeccably clean. The quiet environment puts you in a pleasant mood. The front desk staff are exceptionally service-oriented and highly professional. The accommodation experience felt completely unconstrained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and comfortable. It's definitely a great place I'd return to.

First time staying in a dorm as a solo traveler, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The receptionists were very kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is great too — only about a 10-minute walk to Hakata Station. The place was clean and well maintained. Of course, since it’s a shared dorm, you can sometimes hear other people moving around or talking. But that’s part of the experience, and it’s only fair since your own movements might disturb others as well. Overall, a really good stay and I would recommend it.

The Japanese-style room had four tatami mats, and we had to make our own beds. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, which is acceptable. The surrounding area isn't lively, and there isn't much around. The room itself was quite spacious, though, and we could fully open our suitcases.

First time staying in a hostel, and overall it was good, except for the top bunk being a bit inconvenient. You also have to be mindful of keeping quiet at all times and being extra careful when tidying your belongings. So, it's probably best for those with minimal luggage who just need a place to sleep.

The location is excellent as it's near shopping area, hakata station and restaurants.

Knowing that Japanese hostels are cleaner than those in other regions, I had high expectations. My actual experience exceeded them slightly, so I extended my stay by two nights, making it a total of four nights. Hostels these days can accommodate up to 70-year-olds; I personally saw some relatively spry elderly Japanese folks sleeping on the top bunks. In terms of cleanliness, there was some dust on the headboard, which I consider a blind spot for hygiene. The baskets in the showers weren't very stable, and clothes would sometimes fall if placed there. If someone had used it before me, there might be hair. The common area is fantastic; I'd call home and watch TV before bed every night. No talking is allowed in the rooms, and you can only drink water, not eat. It's generally very quiet, and you don't really know who's sleeping in the other beds. The value for money is incredibly high; hostels truly are a blessing for solo travelers.
