It's a classic, grand hotel, equipped with high-end toiletries. The room was very clean and tidy.

The hotel is a little dated, but service is good. There is a public bath, but no gym. The hotel is very close to Huis Ten Bosch and has a private gate going to HTB once you have already purchase a ticket. You can request for extra pillows to use for free and you can choose pillow type (soft, medium, hard)

The hotel is decent for a one night stay. Though I would describe the interiors of the room as pretty retro and dated in the 90s. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly, and the room is clean. It’s acceptable for a short stay. The hotel is only a stone throw away from Huis Ten Bosch’s entrance where you need to get your tickets. And you can return to the hotel via the back gate. There’s a Lawson near Huis Ten Bosch’s entrance as well. I would say it’s probably a 3 minutes walk. Carpark is available directly in front of the hotel, with charges at 1000¥ per night. There’re carpark wardens to guide you. Would return for a fuss free stay if I were to visit Huis Ten Bosch again.

Not sure about the Japanese culture. We tried to check in at morning time, but we got the only response that the check-in starts at 3:00PM. No extra information about how to enter the Park, or anything. We need to figure out that ourselves. We walked to the main entrance, and back there. We found out later that we could save our walk if we enter the hotel on another entrance. It will be wonderful if the personal try to welcome us more, not just focusing on the check-in time.

Hotel is near to train station and bus station. About 1 hour by bus to/from Nagasaki airport, 2 hours by train to Nagasaki station. Consider far if want to go to Nagasaki downtown area. It is just beside the theme park so staying here for theme park is ideal. Hotel serves good breakfast and has in-house onsen. The staff was helpful to suggest route for me to go to airport as I need to catch an early flight. Hope to come back again to explore more area around the hotel.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the attentive service provided by the staff. This hotel truly stands out as a five-star destination for both leisure and business travellers.
Exceptional Breakfast Selection
One of the major highlights of my stay was the hotel’s breakfast. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, ranging from traditional Japanese dishes to international favourites. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and replenished frequently. Whether you prefer a light continental breakfast or a hearty Japanese meal to start your day, the breakfast at Hotel Nikko Huis Ten Bosch caters to all tastes and dietary needs.
Spacious and Well-Equipped Onsen
The onsen (hot spring bath) facilities at this hotel are truly remarkable. The area is spacious, immaculately clean, and exudes a relaxing ambiance.
