Hotels with pool in Chino

One night on Saturday and Sunday in mid-January. The open-air bath is beautiful. Watching the clear stream and snow scenery, the cold air outside, the hot springs and the sauna

We stayed here after hiking Mount Kitayokodake. There were many families with children. I've been on weekdays before, and if you choose your time carefully, the baths and restaurant aren't too crowded

The open-air bath is wonderful! It's luxurious to have it almost to yourself for most of the time. The room we stayed in was quite old, and we found two toilet bugs

Nice hotel with beautiful hot springs. Both dinner and breakfast were great, although quite a lot of people. Also, it’s a family hotel, so if you don’t like being surrounded by children, cannot recommend.

The hotel also offers many different areas for leisure and entertainment. You can play table tennis, relax in cozy rest zones, visit small cafés and shops — there’s a lot to explore without even leaving the building

That said, the staff overall were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their attitude throughout my stay. This hotel is clearly family-oriented, with many families staying with young children

The annex has a spa and pool, making it easy to get around. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you'll need to buy food at the station. Tokyu Resort across the street is a 5-minute walk away

This mountain resort is very serene. Lots of walking paths through the forest and down to the duck pond. There are only a few restaurants within the resort. The best one was Namaste owned and operated by Mr Singh

His food was first rate! We asked for his recommendations from his menu. His specialty dish eggplant and pork was fantastic. His Naan bread is the best I've ever had. Light and fluffy, right off the grill

The food was so good and the experience was so delightful we came back for a second dinner. We had spinach, curry and lamb. Mr Singh even made us a walnut and raisin Naan to take away for breakfast

A delightful fully fluent in English gentleman. He gave us many tips on things to see and do and where to eat in the nearby town of Lake Sua and Chino

You can eat desserts and pizza toast at the cafe until 4pm

The snowy hot spring view was beautiful, and the hotel food was delicious and very healthy, great for digestion. They have private onsen baths that you can reserve for solo use, but you can only book them after check-in

So, I'd recommend arriving a bit earlier to secure a better time slot. We arrived closer to 8 PM, which was a bit late, and all the private baths for that evening were booked

I'd give it more points if I could. I think this is my best experience with a hotel so far. Everything was excellent from the beginning to the end. I am in love with the place and long to be back again someday

Staying for two consecutive nights even gets you a complimentary lunch. The hot springs are relaxing and offer beautiful views, and the service is incredibly thoughtful

This hotel is a destination in itself! It's absolutely stunning in autumn. The breakfast and dinner, a creative fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine, were delicious

I recommend everyone stay here for at least 2-3 nights; you'll have an unforgettable experience that will make you want to return in the future

The hotel was built in 1888 and although it’s updated, it still has rustic charm. The staff, location, Onsen, and food were the highlights. (Shout out to Mayumi who helped us tremendously and became a friend)

And Okami-chan is the best girl in all of Nagano! When I come back home, I will tell everyone who she is and where she is from - Meiji Onsen Ryokan, Chino, Nagano, Japan! 🇯🇵 (As a fantastic bonus, it’s even allowed to go in with uncovered tattoos! Not every ryokan can match up to that!)

I will always remember my first stay here and I will compare other ryokans I go to with Meiji Onsen Ryokan, because I feel that it’s the best ryokan in Japan. Thank you so much for this amazing experience

As two Americans, we had no preconceived ideas of what a ryokan would be like and we were so pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking for a 5 star western experience, this isn’t the spot for you

My GF's review: My stay in Meiji Onsen Ryokan was my first stay at a ryokan, and I’ve never felt more welcome at any other hospitality place I’ve been to before, of which there are many

At this hotel, you have to walk a relatively long way from your room to the hot springs while carrying towels and underwear inside the hotel! 2: I asked the front desk to bring ice to my room, but they said they didn't have ice and asked me to buy it myself at a convenience store 😳😳😤

In order to go to the hot springs, I called the front desk and asked them to buy a small basket or bag to carry my towels and clothes from my room to the spa. I was told that there was no such service

This hotel is so big and have more space. There is big ground where we can walk and enjoy with friend. The most beautiful part was tateshina lake we can saw from restaurant great-full views that was so amazing experience

Wonderful ryoken with amazing meals

Beautiful classic guesthouse with amazing service and great food. The price is a steal! We had ~10 people staying there for running around the lake, and the hotel graciously set out a table and tent to hold our drinks

Great little cozy hotel for runners.

For dinner, we had Shinshu beef sukiyaki, trout sashimi, and soba noodles. It wasn't too much, but it was just right. Breakfast wasn't extravagant, but it was satisfying. The tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) was delicious

The hotel is not in Suwa but it's 8km away. Right off the main highway, there are plenty of restaurants, shopping areas, and sightseeing. There are three restaurants within walking distance and the convenience 🏪 Lawson

There's a mini kitchen area and a drum type washer in a cubby hole across from the rooms. I didn't realize the kitchen was there until I needed to use the washer. I don't think he speaks English

What really impressed me was the pillow selection; normal pillow on the bed but on the sofa bed there were three tencel pillows of different sizes

Local Hotel with 3-4 Parking lot and 4-5 room only. very clean room and cozy. This is not 2star hotel for me should be 4star :)

Stayed here for work for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! When I'm in the area again for work, I am definitely coming back

It is incredibly clean, room was spacious, beds were comfy, which helped me feel well rested for work

The fact that the owner used to work at the same company as my husband made it even more exciting! We enjoyed the wonderful scenery during the trek, savored the special meal, and had a truly wonderful time♪ We even got to enjoy watching the squirrels eat at breakfast

Very friendly and accommodating hosts. They prepared us an amazing 4 course meal for dinner and a beautiful breakfast. We played games after dinner and they helped with suggestions about what to do in the area.

Thank you for your hospitality. My wife and I went to Tateshina on a cold winter's day to check out a place to move, and we stayed here. We had a relaxing time in a very tasteful and calm environment

The owners are very warm and welcoming. Even though I became ill and collapsed, causing them inconvenience, they treated me with such warmth, and I was truly grateful. A squirrel came to visit every morning
