It’s a large old hotel past its glory days.
The rooms had been modernised which was perhaps the most noticeable improvement.

The food wasn’t great, which was disappointing. The steak was nice, but they cut the size due to being ‘busy’. Also no crab which was supposed to be available. Other than that the shrimp and mozarella salads were good. Other dishes were below expectations for a hotel buffet.

Breakfast sandwiches were nice and there was abit more choice in the morning.

80% of the game room area wasnt working.
The shop was limited.
My wife likes onsen, but came back disappointed.

The location is nice by the lake and the Goats are doing a great job trimming the lawn.

The bath and toilet were not cleaned thoroughly.
There were too few amenities.
The cold bath was fine just for the sauna.
There were a lot of small children and the soundproofing was poor so it was noisy.
The breakfast buffet was very delicious.

This hotel is so big and have more space.There is big ground where we can walk and enjoy with friend.The most beautiful part was tateshina lake we can saw from restaurant great-full views that was so amazing experience.The room was so big and comfortable and all staff were so kind .

In order to go to the hot springs, I called the front desk and asked them to buy a small basket or bag to carry my towels and clothes from my room to the spa. I was told that there was no such service. Many other hot springs also offer services. At this hotel, you have to walk a relatively long way from your room to the hot springs while carrying towels and underwear inside the hotel! 2: I asked the front desk to bring ice to my room, but they said they didn't have ice and asked me to buy it myself at a convenience store 😳😳😤

I stayed in a dock room. Although it was on the first floor, it was a bright and spacious room with a balcony. I had stayed here with my family over 10 years ago, so I thought it was old, but it had been renovated and was beautiful. It was a dock room, so there was no dirt or dust on the floor, but it didn't seem like it had been wiped down. The dog looked cozy! The steak for dinner was very tender and delicious! The rice panna cotta for breakfast was really delicious. The bath water was nice and the water was soft. We also used the sauna. I want to come again with my dog.

Although the building is a little bit old, it is very clean and many parts have been very well renovated (including onsen and rooms). Rooms are very spacious; the view from my room is stunning on the sculpture park and the lake. Food is really good too. There is a nice pool outside but it is not heated so difficult to use, this is the only point I have been a little bit disappointed about.

My husband and I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all of you for your warm hospitality during our stay at your hotel. Thank you very much for being so friendly and accommodating.

We appreciate that you always made our requests possible from the moment we made our bookings up until the time we checked out.

The room we stayed in was indeed our home away from home. It was spacious and pleasantly clean. A very big plus for us.

She assisted us and even dropped us off outside despite the cold weather. So beautiful inside and out.

Miss Takeuchi, for gladly helping us out. Even with facemask I could see the glowing smile in her eyes.

I would also like to commend Mr Subedi and Mr Yamada, the restaurant staff, for being so kind during our dining experience. They were all so thoughtful in insisting us to try the delicious meals they prepared.

Please allow me to add some suggestions for the hotel's betterment. The lobby furniture is truly beautiful but I think that with the big space, it would be nice to consider designing the lobby into something more impactful to guests especially thise coming from far places. Just a friendly suggestion from someone who praises your hotel.
Overall, everything was excellent.

I wish more success for the hotel and at the same time for each and everyone of you.

We seldom go on vacations due to this pandemic that is why we would like to thank you for making our experience a memorable one. It was truly a much needed relaxing stay. Looking forward to our next booking.

Very good cost-performance with a great onsen, nice breakfast and dinner buffets. The room is nice and spacious with a well-working heat system. We are here in winter and it’s conveniently located within ~40 car minutes from several good ski resorts.

The room is really big and has a nice view of the lake and mountains! I really liked the outdoor onsen and huge garden area to walk around in that was unexpected. Food and service here are top notch I would definately recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a long time, but the service that I had received was always warm.
The view was spectacular throughout the whole seasons! The park was very refreshing. I personally really liked the hot onsen during winter season. It was quite and nice.
The food has been great, so I have no complaints on it.

I would definitely visit with my family again.
