Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa, Hamamatsu1 / 30

Hamamatsu, 4396-1 Yamazaki, Yuto-cho (10 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this resort has it all 👍
The nearest bus stop to the HUGE Aeon mall is about 15 minutes walking. About $2usd The hotel does offer a free shuttle FROM THE SOUTH SIDE EXIT and the maisaka train station has a city bus stop on the south side exit
The #20 bus pulls right into the Aeon mall front entrance. The men's side hotel onsen is great. Both indoor and outdoor choices. You will need a shave razor/cream and toothbrush but they provide all the soap
Use your room large towel and face towel, room key and slippers. The hotel provides an amazing snack time from 4pm-6pm and again 9pm-11pm all you can drink beer, red/white wine, sake and many soft drinks
Honestly I would rate the hotel higher if they had ice available on the the floor, coffee pot in the room and had some bento choices at the hotel store. The free treats sort of makes up for it
Has shuttle buses to bring you to Maisaka JR station South exit. See picture for the schedule but please confirm with hotel when you check in. The room was large but the toilet was small

Hamamatsu, 111-2 Itaya-machi Chuo-ku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Stayed here for a quick business trip and it was a great choice. The location is the biggest plus—it's directly connected to JR Hamamatsu Station, so getting to my meetings was super easy, even with luggage
Staff were polite and helpful but just that, would’ve liked a bit more friendliness. They knew it was our anniversary but not one congratulated us
Overall we love this hotel especially with its music theme evident throughout, eg the elevator decorations and the piano keys on the floor. Very arty and will definitely come back again one day 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Super views from the 42nd floor. Gets better as the night draws in and the city lights come on. Location is very convenient being right next to the train station and close to lots of eateries
The room was quiet, clean, and had a decent desk to get some work done. Being in the tallest building in the city, the view from my room was a great bonus to unwind after a long day
The whole experience was comfortable, clean and quiet. The room was spacious enough for my family, as there were 3 of us. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of food

There is a convenience store on the opposite road. One of the staff speaks good english and assisted us promptly. There is a welcome drink and able to get additional pillows from the counter
It is located in a very convenient location very close to Hamamatsu station. The amenities were very nice, the public bath is small but clean and functional.
Not the biggest hotel around but it has all the necessary amenities with a team of very dedicated staff. The room is huge and clean and there is delicious buffet breakfast too
Hotel staff are nice and it was so fun to enjoy free food drinks during happy hour. Moreover, going to Hamana just takes 40min bus distance. So glad to come to Hamamatsu!
Will highly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel if [convenience and comfort are your upmost priority
Good location, 5 minute walk to Hamamatsu station. Room was generally comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness could be further improved as I saw some hair leftover from the previous guests

Good location and room is clean. 3 days booked but just 1 mineral water served. It’s good to serve 1 drink every day.
In particular, during the breakfast buffet, which I love, it was still far from over, and even though I wanted to enjoy my meal a little longer, the staff started to reduce the size of my food very quickly, and they were clearing away dishes so loudly that I thought they might break, and they were working just inches away from me while I was eating
However, the facilities are old, the air conditioning can't be adjusted, and you need a key to open the door. Breakfast is simple, with Hamamatsu gyoza (dumplings)
It was a hectic, noisy breakfast buffet that made me feel a bit uneasy. About 80% of the reason I stayed at this hotel was the breakfast buffet, so it was a shame
One thing that was a bit disappointing this time, and not all of it, is that the quality of the staff seems to have gone down
I stayed in different rooms for two nights, but unfortunately there was no free water on the second night, which was a shame

The hotel's location was perfect and convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, which we greatly appreciated
It was truly great value for money, and my friend and I had a comfortable night's rest. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we come
It was very clean and the service was good
The room seemed to have been renovated, and was a beautiful Japanese-Western style room with a lake view. Having a Japanese-style room was convenient because you could spread out your luggage freely
There were several baths in the hot spring, and there were a fair number of washing areas, so there was no waiting, which was nice. We had it at the restaurant on the second floor of the hot spring
The large baths are in different buildings, but they are connected by a simple corridor, which was nice, but it felt a little cold as it seemed like the outside air was coming in along the way

We stayed in a twin room with our three children. It was very clean and there was a large public bath, so we had a relaxing and comfortable stay. There is an affiliated parking lot and also a paid parking lot nearby
Breakfast was served in a bright venue with the morning sun streaming in, which was very pleasant. There was a wide variety of items to choose from. It's an exciting hotel with many rental items
It was during the Obon period, but when I arrived at 7pm, there was no one there, so we had the place to ourselves. The room had a lovely combination of wallpaper and curtains
The amenity bar has some decent bath salts. There's a large public bath, which is small, but it was larger than it looked in the pictures
The location is good and the station is close. Breakfast was delicious! Happy hour was also great! I would like to stay here again
The price is moderate and the location is convenient. It's just a few steps away from the south exit of Hamamatsu Station. It's a standard Japanese-style business hotel with courteous service and newer facilities

We managed to make a reservation at this hotel when it was busy. Still, the facilities were good, the staff were cheerful, and they were very kind to us who are not used to business hotels
When I left something in my room and was wondering whether to go back to pick it up, I called and mailed it to my house. It was a wonderful hospitality
I stayed here when a friend came to visit. The overall experience was well received. The breakfast in particular seemed to be satisfactory.
The hall is very clean and clean. I didn't use the large communal bath, but when I went to see it, it was well thought out and I liked it
Really kind people, excellent hotel and a really nice public bath. Slept excellently every night for the entire three weeks.
The breakfast is also consistent with Route Inn. I would like to stay here again!

The hotel has a warm atmosphere. It is near the amusement park, cable car and lake. The room is spacious, clean, and has all the amenities. The buffet breakfast and dinner are diverse and delicious
Well season is Good, dinner and breakfast all good , free entrance for flower park and amusement park. Room is spacious and clean. Hot spring also good.
It was convenient that the parking lot could be used even after check-out, so I could go to Palpal next door. I would love to stay here again with my whole family!
There is an onsen for relaxing. The shop is convenient and complete. The staff took care of us throughout our stay. I will definitely come back again
A wonderful stay. Most of the staff didn't speak English, but they were all friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, and we had a great time.
🎡 Adjacent to the amusement park "Hamanako Palpal" Right next to the hotel is the amusement park "Hamanako Palpal", where you can enjoy everything from fairy tales to thrilling rides, making it perfect for families

Looking out at the lake view in the morning sitting on the tatami from the room on first floor, it does feel like the room is floating on the lake. Astonish view! Every room is lake faced
Booking through hotel website provides a great discount. Friendly and sufficient staff. An old yet well maintained hotel. Takes a 15-20mins walk to nearby train station
It was a shame that there was no lotion or other amenities in the bath, but considering the price difference with other hotels, it was a very affordable stay, so I guess it's unavoidable to have to save money in various ways
This is a low-rise hotel on the shores of Lake Hamana. The exterior looks old, but the rooms have been renovated and are beautiful. The room was Japanese modern, so I was able to relax on the Ryukyu tatami mats
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with the lights turned down a little, so I was able to eat quietly and calmly. I was very satisfied with the food, including eel and Hamamatsu gyoza
The building itself is quite old, so I was prepared for that, but the rooms and restaurant had been renovated, and I was able to relax in a room with a lake view

Hamamatsu, 1-1-30 Sato, Nakaku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
My room was upgraded, and since they were also hosting a group, they informed me of the available breakfast times in advance. I also used the bath on the top floor twice, once in the evening and once in the morning
When I requested a shuttle to Hamamatsu Station in the morning, the driver asked whether I wanted the north or south exit, and he took me to the south exit, which is close to the Shinkansen ticket gates
While the room was a bit small, they have sento where you can soak in after a long day. They also have comic books you can bring to your room to read. It was a new experience and I love it.
Everything I needed was there, and the timing was perfect, so I had it all to myself. The men's and women's baths are switched, and shampoo and other amenities are replaced at the same time
This is the first time I've seen such a thoughtful hotel. The women's bath has an electronic lock, which is another great feature
Breakfast is a set menu rather than a buffet, and I think preparing enough for each person reduces food waste, which I preferred

I thought it was a little expensive, but the room was spacious and the food was delicious, so I was very satisfied. I definitely think it was worth more than the price. I would like to use it again if I go to Lake Hamana
A great experience, a room with a great view, a panoramic view of Lake Hamana, and the Ferris wheel and cable car nearby. As soon as you get to the check-in floor, you will be filled with the aroma of tatami
A hidden gem that had almost zero tourists when we visited in March 2024. The onsen was top notch Hinoki wood and food was fabulous. Room toilet smelt abit funky but we hardly used it anyway
I'm sorry that the amount was so large that I had to leave it. This course is available in the morning and evening, and is this price really okay with the quality of this inn during the high season! ?? I'm worried
The room, bath, and food were all great! We were able to relax as a family of three. The private open-air bath was also nice. It's also in a very convenient location as a base for sightseeing
If you can't go to the hot spring public pool, you can also book a semi-open-air family bath, which is a top-notch experience. The hotel service staff are very considerate and considerate

Stayed here as it was close to Suzuki Plaza. Found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating to us Australians. The room we had was large, with a full size bath and shower, plenty of space
All in all, a quaint older hotel that looked to be built to very high standards, wonderful staff, nothing to complain about, would stay there again
Also a nice view from the balcony. As an unexpected bonus, breakfast is included at no extra charge
This hotel so good.I came here every year.
Friendly helpful staff very good A+
I think the price is reasonable. It's within walking distance of Hamamatsu Station. This is my second time staying here this year, so the breakfast was pretty much the same and simple

I used it like four times and nice but right now i am staying and has been two days now staying two more days but really great. The rooms are comfortable and really nice maybe except for small rooms
People are soooo nice and polite and respectful. The bus stop and combino is near. The station is walable and movie theater is near by
I was very happy that everyone at the hotel was so courteous. The best thing about staying here is that it was relaxing. ❤️❤️
I was able to make a reservation at a very reasonable price. I booked a single room, but they upgraded it to a larger one. It was a wonderful trip.

Everything was actually really good, but this hotel was so old it couldn’t feel comfortable or clean despite best efforts. Location was great - 2 min walk from Hamamatsu Station
Staff was kind and let us check in just slightly before 3pm. Amenities were super for what you pay. Free evening curry, 1 draft beer and decent breakfast spread
Very good, satisfactory, gratifying.
Location is very convenient, next to station then easy to get the bullet train. Food ok, but the room is quite small, even still comfortable
We had breakfast which was ok but not a lot of choice (coming from europe). The room was a little small - I'd say even for japanese standards this was tiny. AC is either on or off for us
The location of this hotel is very good and it is very near to the railway station. Free coffee is provided at the lobby. Breakfast is medium standard. Staff are very nice and polite

The weather was beautiful, the view from our hotel room window was beautiful, and the room was larger than we expected, allowing three adults to relax comfortably
It's conveniently located near the station. The hotel is a little old, and there weren't many electrical outlets, so I'm giving it four stars. The staff were all very kind, and I'd definitely like to stay here again
We had requested parking, so we were able to easily bring our luggage in. We ended up going out a bit late in the evening, but the large public bath was open until midnight, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak
We booked in October for our family of three, hoping to enjoy the view of Lake Hamana and explore the surrounding area at the end of the year
Also, the reason they upgraded our room was because there was a group of Chinese people. However, I didn't want to eat with them, so I wish they would change the time
The location is great. We booked for 3 people but there were 6 beds. There was no explanation of where to have toothbrushes, WiFi, or breakfast.

It has the most spacious rooms I have ever seen in a Japanese hotel. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive, with nice extras such as freshly squeezed mandarin juice, espresso coffee machine, ice cream etc
Our room had two western style double beds which were very comfortable. Our room looked out onto the lake. Our dining area was Japanese style with two small futon, a low table and cushions to sit on the floor
We were there in mid-October so we didn't do any water sports. They have tennis/paddleball courts, sup, water peddle tricycles, a waterside, pool and e-bikes. We didn't use the master onsen comunal bath
That worked for me but not my 6' 1" companion. We moved the futons against the wall and piled the cushions on his futon to make it higher. Used the wall as back support
The restaurant was only so-so for breakfast, but FABULOUS for dinner. We ate the French course, Italian course and the buffet. Service was impeccable in the restaurant
If you don't use full service housekeeping daily, say you only request new towels, you earn shopping coupons to use at the snack/gift shop at checkout

The meals are amazing- but no western items at all. Some staff spoke English, others used AI, but all were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 45 minute bus trip from Hamamatsu station (Route 30)
It was an interesting experience - having breakfast and dinner with generally well behaved pooches in their prams, or sitting up at the dinner table, with their families
Amusement park is just 2 minutes drive and there’s an Onagi restaurant where you can eat with your dog. We wanted to stay longer but they’re fully booked
This hotel provides a great Japanese experience- spacious rooms, good beds, well maintained onsen, and delicious Japanese breakfast and kaiseki dinner, at a good price
The highlight of our stay was a visit to Hamamatsu Flower Park, which is two stops by bus, back towards Hamamatsu. The flowers and gardens are amazing
When I told him that I didn't like raw fish when making the reservation, he said, "We can accommodate allergies, but it's difficult to accommodate people who don't like it. " , I was preparing braised pork
