Easily accessible by car. Nice view next to the lake. Got an upgrade room to the suite. Super spacious and quiet. Free alcohol and other drinks in the fridge. Free lounge on the 13th floor. Breakfast was buffet style.

Everything was great for the stay.

If you do not have a car it is not the best location however if you just want to live in peace it may be a perfect place. The nearest convenience store is about 18 minutes by walking. The nearest bus stop to the HUGE Aeon mall is about 15 minutes walking. Take bus number 20. About $2usd The hotel does offer a free shuttle FROM THE SOUTH SIDE EXIT and the maisaka train station has a city bus stop on the south side exit. The #20 bus pulls right into the Aeon mall front entrance . The men's side hotel onsen is great. Both indoor and outdoor choices. You will need a shave razor/cream and toothbrush but they provide all the soap. Use your room large towel and face towel, room key and slippers. The hotel provides an amazing snack time from 4pm-6pm and again 9pm-11pm all you can drink beer, red/white wine, sake and many soft drinks. Asian crackers and nuts as well as a large assortment of sweet treats. Coffee: no in room coffee but there is a hot water pot and filtered water in the room. The bathroom is small but honestly with the onsen I never used my shower or bathtub. Not once. Honestly I would rate the hotel higher if they had ice available on the the floor, coffee pot in the room and had some bento choices at the hotel store. The free treats sort of makes up for it. The Northside maisaka station exit 1 minute walk, there is an amazing local sake store that carries all the local beer and sake for cheap. Their most expensive, About $7usd for amazing sweet and dry liter glass bottles of sake.

We came to enjoy the large pool (google maps picture) to find out it is open only a month every year starting 19th July. For us Canadians it is not acceptable the pool don't open sooner at the very least the entire month of July and August. We have the view on the pool though just to torture us...

Lovely atmosphere!

At the end of the year and New Year's holidays, 11 people from 3 generations stayed overnight. Although the hotel is spacious and old-fashioned, it has been tastefully renovated. The hoteliers are also cheerful, smart and polite. There is a lot of parking, and the view of Lake Hamana is a pleasant word. The hot springs are wide and the open-air bath has a Bali atmosphere, so if you have a lot of travel around the country due to corona, you can enjoy a moment of Balinese spa feeling. I think. The food seemed suitable for parents over 70 years old, and the seasoning was neither strong nor light, and it was exquisite. Since I made a request in advance, he prepared a banquet hall, and I was able to spend time without getting into the water. This time in the summer, I would like to take care of you again when you can enjoy your holiday at Lake Hamana. The photo was taken by the first 400 people in Toshikoshi soba. The plate size was small so it was perfect for New Year's Eve at 10pm after dinner. It can't be helped when it's crowded, but the elevator was crowded a few times. Take it the wrong way and eat what you ate on the stairs! Or drink some beer on the stairs! I thought health conscious people might want to go up the mountain. In fact, I was looking for the stairs too. I was able to have a really good time relaxing, doing nothing and doing a bit of sightseeing.

(Addition 1) Daiwa Royal Hotel is a nationwide hotel operated by Daiwa House. Nowadays, well-funded manufacturers are developing hotel chains, but it is a long-established chain of resort hotels. The room is both for members and for general sale. The hotels are located in good places all over the country, especially Mt. Bandai and Mt. Oyama. Lake Hamana was also a scenic spot, but I visited because I wanted to eat kabayaki (eel) from Lake Hamana. I miss eel fry. The hotel is a good hotel chain, no matter which country you visit. I won’t write about the place I went to, but it is a long-established chain of hotels. ☺ Oyama, Kochi, Tonami, etc. were also good. 🙇☺❗

We booked a Japanese-style room. The downside is that we had to make the bed the next day. The upside is that I walked around Tokyo before leaving, and my waist was not very comfortable. After sleeping on the tatami, I felt alive again. The hotel has hot springs, which is very good for relieving fatigue.

The lobby and other areas had a very luxurious atmosphere, and although the building was old, it was beautiful!
We stayed as a group of three, but an extra bed was provided so we had a comfortable stay.
We were very satisfied with the variety of menu items and the deliciousness of the breakfast!!
The only thing I can say is that the lounge on the lobby floor and the lounge on the 13th floor, which is only available to guests on the executive floor, had almost the same items on offer, and it was a bit disappointing that beer was served in a paper cup.
As for sweets, there were only heart cookies, gummy candy, things like Hi-Chew, eel bones, and ramune.
The only thing that made a big difference was whether or not there was wine, so I think it would have been nice to have a slightly different feel to make it feel more special!

visited the Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa and were very impressed!

The hotel was spotlessly clean, which created a very pleasant feeling of coziness and comfort.
Polite and helpful staff
Onsen: The onsen is top notch! It was a real paradise for relaxation and recovery.
Lounge area: A pleasant time in the lounge area with drinks and snacks became the highlight of our holiday.
Breakfast: A chic selection of dishes for breakfast pleased us with variety and quality.

We definitely want to go to this hotel! We recommend it to everyone who is looking for comfort and relaxation.
