Our four-night stay at Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was excellent. The location is very convenient, just a 6-7 minute walk from Kanazawa JR Station. The hotel itself is grand and exudes an old-money elegance. It's clean, comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was abundant, high-quality, and delicious. The service was also very attentive.

This is a very clean and lovely hotel with an excellent location, right next to the station. It's super convenient for buying souvenirs and food. The stay was also very comfortable. Whenever I travel in Japan, Nikko Hotels are always my first choice because they never disappoint!

Stayed two nights in Kanazawa. It's truly a bustling place. The architecture outside the train station resembles a museum, and the fountain with the changing date display is quite unique. The hotel is about two blocks from the train station, which is pretty close. For sightseeing, I'd recommend taking a taxi as walking can be a bit far, even though the city isn't huge. The hotel itself is quite modern, with a bit of a Versace vibe. However, since there's no hot spring bath, the room feels a bit small.

This is one of the best hotels in Kanazawa. Although it's been open for over 30 years, it's still very well-maintained. The rooms on the higher floors offer superb views of the entire city, much better than what you'd get at Sanraku or Hyatt. The breakfast quality is also excellent.

One of my favorite hotels during this trip!

**Ambiance:** Even though it's an older hotel built in the last century, both the hard furnishings and soft decor are incredibly well-maintained. While the style might be a bit retro, it's tastefully done. The room was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for Japan.

**Cleanliness:** Virtually spotless.

**Facilities:** Didn't have time to visit the lounge or bar to enjoy the city views. I wish there was a gym, or at least I didn't see one available.

**Breakfast:** Excellent! They offer both Japanese and buffet options. The buffet included sashimi and seafood rice bowls, freshly made omelets, and French toast. If you stay here, you absolutely *must* experience the breakfast. I had three full plates!

**Service:** Outstanding. After check-in, we were rushing to go eat, and they took care of putting our luggage in the room for us. When getting a taxi, a doorman opened the door and assisted us.

My time in Kanazawa was a bit short this trip, so I definitely need to stay at this Nikko hotel again.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast was incredibly rich and substantial, typical of the Nikko style.

The lobby is grand and the rooms are spacious. There are many staff members in the lobby who guide guests to the elevators. They had already prepared three beds, which was a nice touch. The pictures and description showed separate shower and toilet facilities, but the triple room we got didn't have that, which was a bit inconvenient. When I checked in, I asked for a higher floor and was told it would be on the 17th floor, for which I expressed gratitude, but it turned out to be the lowest floor for guest rooms. Breakfast was noisy and chaotic, and the variety was limited. The attention to detail needs improvement; there was dust on the wall hangings.

Is perfect for exploring Kanazawa.

Hotel is really 5 star modern and comfortable.
Sunrise views from upper floors is fantastic. Many must to see places like Samurai district and Omicho market are close at walking distance. Highly recommended.

Only stayed one night in Kanazawa, and I regretted it! I even made a special trip back to Kanazawa from Toyama later, just to shop and eat. I got to try Kanazawa's white shrimp this time, and next time I'll definitely come back for the crab 🦀.

Getting back to the hotel, it's very close to the station and has a nice view from the window. It also maintains the consistent high standards of Nikko Hotels. The breakfast was excellent. I really should have stayed an extra night. Oh, and surprisingly, there weren't any vending machines in the hotel, haha.
