Higashi Ishikawa Ryokan in Matsumoto

A small, charming, and cozy hot spring inn. It features a private, semi-open-air bath where you can enjoy a tranquil soak. Our room was a traditional Japanese style, clean, refreshing, and just the right size.

The staff were very friendly.

The location is conveniently situated on the main hot spring path. It's visible as soon as you enter Asama Onsen. We then cycled to Kamigata Shrine and other attractions. The afternoon was ample time to fully enjoy the rustic and natural atmosphere of the Asama Onsen area.

This was a ryokan I visited while traveling with a friend. The rooms were very clean, and the tea provided in each room was delicious. The staff were always friendly, and the breakfast was of excellent quality. The hot springs were warm and clean, and the facilities were well-equipped. I would definitely return the next time I visit Matsumoto!

A very nice Japanese-style hotel, like an ancestral home, well decorated and maintained. The whole building has two floors, and the restaurant is on the second floor. Breakfast is a typical Japanese breakfast, and the latest one is 8:30. There should be guest rooms on the first and second floors, and there are private and public bathrooms on the first floor. The hot spring pool is very clean, but also very hot. The room is very spacious, with just enough space for four beds. There is an indoor bathroom, but no shower room. The indoor balcony looks out to the garden view, which has a good view and is very quiet. The transportation is also convenient. There is a bus stop to Matsumoto Station at the door, and the journey takes about 25 minutes. PS: The hotel feels like it is run by a family of four, father, brother and sister. Seeing that there are no reviews on Ctrip, I hope the reviews can help everyone. Personal test, recommended to friends who go to Matsumoto.

I stayed the night before Utsukushigahara. It takes less than 30 minutes by bus from Matsumoto Station!
The young staff feel very good.
The private bath that flows directly from the source was a little too hot, but the atmosphere of the Kurazukuri indoor bath in the large communal bath made me feel good.
The room is also very clean.
It may depend on the plan, but it was the best combination for me, with dinner being a room meal and breakfast being a restaurant.
I didn't like the supper very much, but the breakfast was delicious. It was good that the restaurant was also made with a warehouse.
Since I had my luggage kept, I asked if I could take a day trip hot water after descending from Utsukushigahara, but it was said that the day trip hot water was not taken.
I stayed at Asama Onsen for the first time, but it is close to Matsumoto and has become one of the hot spring towns I want to visit again.

It was very good! The faint scent of hot springs, especially the private bath with a long source, had a nice scent! As for the rice, Shinshu salmon and horse sashimi were the best, and besides that, the fruits of the mountains came out firmly and I felt satisfied and full! Wakadanna-san is the most memorable point? A young man saying "Thank you!" And bowing! It's too polite, but I feel good! I have visited various inns all over the country, but this is the first time I have been so polite.
Also, you can buy an admission ticket for Matsumoto Castle at half price, so if you plan to go, you should buy it!
