My family and I returned for the first time in over 10 years. The hotel has been renovated, and while the calm atmosphere remains the same, it feels even more comfortable. The bed was comfortable and we slept soundly, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. We also enjoyed relaxing in the large public bath. Matsumoto folk art furniture was displayed throughout the hotel, including at the front desk, which was very lovely. This is the only place to stay in Matsumoto. We will definitely stay here again.

A very cozy hotel with friendly service, clean and comfortable.

The breakfast at the 86 Onkan downstairs is delicious.

However, it's a bit far from the JR station. On the afternoon of my return trip, I asked the front desk to help me call a taxi, but was told there were no taxi drivers nearby at the moment, and bus services were also infrequent. Overall, it's suitable for those who want to explore Matsumoto at a leisurely pace.

Also, the facilities in the old building are a bit dated and the soundproofing is a little poor.

The hotel has been open for a while, so it's well-maintained. It's right next to Matsumoto Castle, very close by walking distance. The rooms are quite large for Japan. There's also a large public bath downstairs.

and we were able to spend a wonderful and luxurious time.

The hotel is located close to the Matsumoto castle, with quiet and decent shops around. Also, there are some lanes have shops with characters. The big bath in the hotel is clean and lovely. The hotel in genwral has a feel of vintage with in very good condition. The room is spacious with beautiful mountain view as a background. Breakfast is good in quality with both western and Japanese style food.
