Tomitaya Ryokan Bekkan in Matsumoto

I stayed at this inn while touring Nagano's national hot spring resorts.
I followed the navigation system's directions through a residential area to find this inn, and the room was clean.
They prepared a room for me near the large public bath, and I used it whenever I had free time, but perhaps because it's less occupancy on weekdays, I didn't meet any other guests and was able to relax.

Meals were served in my room, and depending on the menu, there was a heavy smell, but they put a lot of effort into their cooking, so it was very delicious.

This is one inn I'd like to stay at again.

I stayed here with my family because the hotel had high reviews and offered a discount.
Our room was in water-saving mode, but it was relatively empty, so we were able to relax in the hot spring water. I was happy with the in-room dining and the service to provide a kettle of boiled hot spring water.
It's a bit disappointing that the shuttle service is conditional.

This is a very quiet inn.

The room was very spacious, and it had been renovated and was very clean.

The hot spring bath isn't very large, but because there are few guest rooms, I was able to enjoy it almost like having it all to myself.

However, you have to go down stairs to get to the bath, so it might be difficult for elderly people.

I searched for it on the in-room dining site and finally found it.

The building itself is old and it's easy to get lost, but the emergency exit was right next to our room, and most importantly, it was a very clean and refreshing inn with a very good cleaning routine.

The food was delicious, made generous use of local ingredients, and there were many things I had never tried before, so I was very satisfied.

The Shinshu salmon sashimi and Shinshu beef were excellent!

The corn rice was also juicy and delicious.

I thought it must have been difficult for Nakai-san to carry the food to our room, but being able to eat in our room in peace without worrying about others was the best. Thank you very much.

The bath is a hot spring, apparently piped in from Utsukushigahara Onsen, and thankfully it's available 24 hours a day, which was very helpful.

I was able to take a bath twice, once in the middle of the night and once early in the morning.

My room was a Japanese-style room with futons, but it was comfortable with a refrigerator, in-room bath (unit bath), flush toilet, and sink.
However, the room name was written in kanji as "Shobu" (iris), but the key was written in hiragana as "ayame" (ayame)... When I returned from the bath, I couldn't find my room (lol).

I finally made up my mind and opened the door, and was relieved to find the owner there.
I looked at the door and saw the kanji for "Shobu," and the key and the hiragana for "ayame" (ayame)... I didn't realize they were pronounced the same, so I looked it up on my phone and was embarrassed... I felt like I'd been reincarnated into another world in the middle of the night (lol).

Anyway, it was a very comfortable inn.

Onsen is good, the shower is comfortable, and the service is very good.

Best stay of our 2 week trip in Japan! Traditional Japanese room with a view of a small garden at the back, and with ensuite toilet. Great service from the staff, good food!

It's a simple inn, but the cost performance is good. The proprietress is very kind and the employees are very warm and I personally want to go again. The slippers are disposable, but they are a little nice, so I brought them home with a bag. I thought it would be useful to take off your shoes when entering a temple.

The food is the best! !! Please provide fresh local ingredients in a hot condition. The customer service is also wonderful. I want to stay again when I come to Matsumoto. The hot springs were also healed by the soft touch. Cospa is the best.

In terms of facilities, I think that the size of the open-air bath that only one person can enter is unavoidable because the facilities are old. I can't buy alcohol after 9 o'clock, so I thought it would be a little inconvenient if I couldn't drink enough. Overall, the cost performance and satisfaction are very high, and I would like to repeat it again if I have the opportunity.

I have been to Matsumoto many times, but I decided to go to Migahara Onsen, which I had been interested in for a long time. There are many hot spring inns that are expensive or do not even accept for single stays, so I was surprised to find this Tomitaya Annex by searching! It is a hot spring inn with half board for one night, and it is a little plus the price of a business hotel without meals in front of Matsumoto station. To be honest, I went out without much expectation from the price, but I was disappointed in a good way. It is true that the facilities are aging, but the lobby and rooms are well-cleaned, and fresh flowers are displayed in various places. As for the toilet and air conditioner in the room, a new model was installed from my house, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. I think it's because of this time of year, but both dinner and breakfast are served in the room, and we can hear the hardships of the staff. The amount of food was appropriate, and even though I was originally not good at grilled fish, the salt-grilled rock fish was delicious. There are traces of ingenuity in the bath, and the open-air bath that looks like a solarium-style roof on the balcony of an apartment is also fun. The only thing is that the passage to the bathroom gets cold, so it's okay because my body is warm on the way back, but it's a little cool to go. In any case, the cost performance is the strongest except that there is almost nothing around the inn. I would like you to continue the family business for a long time. I will definitely bother you again!
