Thank you for serving us. Richmond Hotel Shinkansen Guchi is a great choice. It's conveniently located, safe, comfortable, and offers excellent service from the front desk staff, along with ample amenities. Richmond is a great value accommodation option in Nagoya. I suggest adding Halal-certified and Muslim-friendly food and beverage options to Richmond. Besides the Halal food, Richmond has become one of our family's favorite hotels. Thank you.

The hotel is about 10-15 walk from Nagoya train station. Room was comfortable for 1 night stay.

It's exactly what you need, nothing fancy but also not a claustrophobic room. Nagoya station is a 5 minute walk. Definitely recommend. In front there is a popular restaurant so that's a plus...you can see it in the picture I uploaded. 👍🏻

Extremely convenient, just a five-minute walk from Nagoya Station. The hotel service was exceptionally professional and friendly, truly high-standard. The breakfast deserves a special mention – a wide variety of options, including eel rice, which our whole family absolutely loved!

We chose this hotel because it’s located near Nagoya Station, which offered some convenience as the station also had a bus interchange which could bring us to some places around the city. However, there was quite a bit of construction which made moving our luggages on check-in/out day quite a hassle as we had to drag them around the construction site, and the actual walking time taken to/from the station was around ~12 minutes instead.
Other than this, the hotel room and toilet were clean, and the staff were also friendly and helpful, and able to converse well in English. There was also coin laundry available which allowed us to wash our clothes, and there was a machine at the hotel lobby which allowed us to exchange notes for smaller change (smaller notes or coins). We could also refill our water bottles at the first floor, although only at certain timings of the day. The reception also had a weighing scale which was useful as we could weigh our luggages. Overall, a good experience staying in this hotel.

The room size was quite good, and it's not too far from the JR station.
There are two convenience stores, a Matsuya, a Yoshinoya, and a Sekai no Yamachan nearby, which is super convenient. Even without breakfast included, there are plenty of options.
The hotel's first floor offers complimentary makeup remover, facial cleanser, lotion, and various other daily necessities – absolutely fantastic!
In Japan, Richmond hotels are always reliable.

Overall, this is a pretty convenient hotel. The location is great, within walking distance to a major transport hub. The room is a little small, but that's common for many hotels in Japan, so you get used to it. I'd recommend it overall.

Very clean and tidy, and close to the subway. There's a shopping mall nearby which is super convenient. Downstairs, there's a small supermarket, a noodle shop, and a few restaurants. I'd definitely consider staying at this hotel again next time I'm in Nagoya. It's a great choice!

Excellent value for money, and the location is fantastic – very close to the station, just a 7-8 minute walk. There was some road construction going on, but it didn't really affect our stay. The soundproofing was also good; we barely heard the trains passing by. The room was a bit small, which is typical for hotels in Japan, but it was fully equipped. A classic Japanese-style hotel, and it even had a bathtub. There's a supermarket downstairs, and several shopping malls are within a few hundred meters, making shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel partners with Legoland, offering a discount if you purchase a combined pass. However, they don't sell individual Legoland tickets.

The room isn't large, but it's impeccably clean. Guests can choose between standard and eco-friendly cleaning services, which is a significant improvement compared to the Mitsui Garden we stayed at in Kyoto, where they only replaced towels and trash bags.

Hotel breakfast is around 100 JPY, with children paying half price. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea. The breakfast is excellent value, especially as it includes unlimited unagi-don (grilled eel over rice). Considering unagi-don typically costs around 200 JPY per person when dining out, this breakfast is highly recommended.
