A bit cramped but up to apa standard. This specific location does not have a spa bath floor which i was kind of disappointed with. Seems like you would want to go to the other location just another block down if you want this amenity. Overall, its not too far from the station for quick travel to and from niigata especially if you have a morning itinerary.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! The worst of all the stays I've had in Japan, counting almost 6 months that I've spent in the country. The quality standard of the mattresses is nonexistent!!! Totally different from what you expect in any Japanese hotel!!! The mattresses were very soft, there was even a hole in the middle, from being so worn. I had a terrible night. I woke up with a lot of back pain. The only solution they offered me was to TIE A TOWEL AROUND MY WAIST 🤡 I swear.... regrettable... I asked to cancel the stay, but no one could tell me how much I would be charged for that night I spent there. I had a lot of back pain the next day, and I had to cancel the stay, even without knowing how much I would pay. They didn't want to cancel for free, even with this horrible experience.
In short: they invested a lot of money to make the hotel beautiful, but they bought the worst quality mattress possible. Besides the hell that place is, because you have to face a huge line for everything! The elevator always has a queue... which is bizarre... so pity anyone who decides to have breakfast there... a bizarre waiting line... in short, the worst experience one can have in a hotel, because they worry a lot about appearances, but little about the comfort of the guests.

The large public bath is spacious, and there is an open-air bath, which is nice. There are plenty of washing areas, and skin care products such as cleansing creams are also available. I wish I could stay in the bath until the morning.

There was dust under the mirror and windows in the room, and the toilet seat cover was dirty, so to be honest the hotel's cleanliness was poor.

I'd stayed at APA Hotels several times before, so I didn't have high expectations, but the facilities were better than I expected, with a large public bath, extensive amenities, and free VOD.
Perhaps because it's Niigata, the buffet included freshly cooked rice cooked in a rice cooker, which I personally found most enjoyable.
Overall, I think it was a good value for money accommodation.

The building is relatively new, so the rooms are clean and tidy. The TV screen is large and impressive.
