Niigata Terminal Hotel in Niigata

I often stay at this hotel when I'm on business trips to Niigata. The building is old, but as a fan of retro things, I find the lobby and room chairs charming amidst their age. I can hear the hallway conversations and loud snoring from the neighboring room all the way to my room. Snoring is particularly bothersome, so I'd appreciate it if they separated the floors for men and women as much as possible, but I imagine it's difficult since there are overwhelmingly more men than women.

I was assisted by a variety of front desk staff, from a cute young woman to a gentle-mannered man, and they all provided excellent service.

As for amenities, which women are likely to be most concerned about, there are pouches next to the front desk containing single-use amounts of lotion, milk, facial cleanser, and hair pack. (The ones in the bathrooms in the rooms are rinse-in-shampoo.)
The cleansing amenities are wipe-type, so if you're concerned about that, you might want to bring your own.
I was happy to see that the room I stayed in had a fairly sturdy hair dryer installed. Some hotels have mini toy-like hair dryers, so... (However, judging from other people's reviews and photos, it seems that this is not always the case.)

There is no air conditioning in the room, and the entire building is air-conditioned, so it felt a little chilly for me, who is sensitive to the cold. However, I was able to borrow a blanket (limited number) from the front desk, which was a relief.

Instant coffee, sugar, milk, and tea are also available next to the front desk, so I can boil water in the kettle in my room and have coffee in the morning. ☕️

You may be woken up by the strange screams of drunk people late at night or early in the morning, but I guess that's unavoidable given the location. The convenience is very high.
I wasn't able to use it this time, but I saw a flyer offering free use of a public bath? near the south exit, so I would definitely like to use it next time. (I didn't read it carefully, so I apologize if I'm wrong. 🙇‍♀️)

I was satisfied with the price, location, and service, so I would like to use it again in the future. 😊

It's reasonably priced despite being close to the station!
It's an older-looking business hotel, but the rooms were clean and there were no issues at all.
Personally, I was happy that the bath was spacious!
The hotel's breakfast policy was to use locally produced ingredients, so I'd like to add it the next time I stay.

The hotel is very good. They helped us store our luggage in advance. When we came back from our trip, our luggage was already there. The hotel is a little old, but it still has everything we need. There was a football game on the day we stayed. Other hotels cost thousands of yuan, but this one was reasonably priced. It's only a 5-minute walk from the station, which is very convenient. There are many izakayas and ramen restaurants nearby. You can eat after the game before going back.

The cost performance is great. Water from the vending machine is only ¥100, and they also have lotions and other items.

A nice hotel with a convenient location and plenty of toiletries available. Although small, it's enough for one person. It's a cost-effective choice for a solo traveler. I highly recommend it.
