Altitude Nozawa in Nozawa Onsen

We had a great time at Altitude Nozawa. One of the chair lifts is just next door so it’s very easy to come and go to the mountain. I believe you’d have to still go to the gondola station if you were looking at buying the tickets everyday tho. Our room was spacious and had a private bathroom. No fridge or kettle. Boiling water is available in the breakfast room all day. The drying room is phenomenal, dry and warm gear everyday. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Although we had a car, they also do several runs into town in their hotel van. We found it very easy to walk into the centre… didn’t think location was a problem at all, despite previous reviews mentioning it. Less than 5 min walk to the closest combini as well. Overall great value!

Ski lodge situated at the top of Nozawa Onsen village.
The lodge comprises a dry room, lobby, dining room and TV area on the first floor. All guest rooms are on the second floor.
Rooms come with breakfast and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the gondola, into the village and pick up and drop off for check in and check out.
The rooms are spacious with luggage and hanging space. The breakfast is delicious and available from 07.00 - 10.00. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Location is great between the courtesy bus and local shuttle buses it makes easy to get around. I personally found everyone extremely helpful as I was injured in this trip and they have really gone out of their way to assist me! Spacious common area to play a family game or have a drink together. Thank you to the team @Altitude Nozawa

Wonderful place in a perfect location very close to town. The scenery was fantastic.Rooms well heated, great lay out and lounge area - I felt so relaxed there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Night shuttle bus service and hot brekkie also a huge plus! Absolutely recommend. Thank you Altitude!

We had a great stay at Altitude. We had five people sharing two rooms each with three beds which is a bit squishy but apart from sleeping we didn’t spend much time in the room. There is a large communal breakfast and lounge area which doubles as a bar at night. Staff were very nice and helpful and in the absence of the free shuttle bus the town provides (this only started on 23/12 - bus stop is right outside the lodge) they were happy to ferry us around and pick us up on arrival. Most of the time the walk to and from town was fine anyway. We would love to come back.

Altitude Nozawa was an INCREDIBLE experience. We loved the accomodations, the staff, the breakfast, the shuttle town, and the walking distance to ski rentals and a chair lift. Additionally, we left a very meaningful personal item at the hotel. The staff was so incredibly kind to find the missing item and mail it to us. It meant the world to us that they went to so much trouble. 5 Stars!
