It was a great room, and we were lucky with the view - Fuji-san showed up. The hotel provided a free transfer service from the station. An interesting Japanese dinner in the kaiseki format.

The room was very spacious, and the view was beautiful!

A very satisfying stay on a private island. If you're not in a rush, you can easily spend two relaxing days here. The hotel's shuttle service was excellent. The air conditioning in our room was broken upon check-in, so the room was always a bit chilly. However, the young man at the front desk, who spoke excellent English, patiently helped us check it and arranged a room change, which ensured our stay and experience weren't negatively impacted. Both dinner and breakfast were superb. We'd love to come back for another quiet two-day stay when the weather is warmer.

I stayed at Awashima Hotel, located on an island, after arriving at Narita Airport on 17th Nov 25. The transfer took about three hours, but the journey was absolutely worth it. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and offered breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the ocean. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, with special thanks to the female manager who went above and beyond to provide additional support (e.g. taxi booking to Numazu Metro station). Although dinner service could have been extended to guests without reservations, the overall experience was excellent. My three days and two nights felt far too short, and I would highly recommend Awashima Hotel to travelers seeking a relaxing and welcoming stay in Japan.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for getting around. Everything was well-maintained and made my trip very enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel with great service and dinner. Had an absolute blast on awashima island and the marine park. Will definitely come here if I want to treat ourselves again!

The facilities are quite dated. Lately, the clientele has been a very particular demographic, largely older Chinese and Western guests with a penchant for anime. I found the service to be a bit lacking compared to hotels of the same star rating back home in China.

Very comfortable, ideal for a getaway. It features a complimentary aquarium where the penguins, sea lions, and otters are all adorable. If you're a fan of marine life, Mari's place is a definite must-stay! You can also hike up to Awashima Shrine.

The room was really nice, but both the service and the food were mediocre. I heard the new owner has reportedly made cutbacks to the service. I even overheard staff suggesting they might eventually cut ties with 'Shuishui'. Honestly, with all these changes, I don't see myself having a reason to return.

Regarding the Japanese 'Suruga Set Menu' dinner: the food was mediocre, but the service was decent.
