Kamenoi Hotel Izukogen in Ito

Ambiance: Very good. Hygiene: The room's AC had a strange smell. Service: Typical Japanese coldness. Breakfast: Lots of variety, and the taste was decent. I recommend sitting by the window. Dinner: Different every day. Facilities: Good, especially the onsen (hot spring), which was excellent.

Overall, it's pretty good. I'd stay here again next time I visit.

The hotel offers a shuttle service from Izu Kogen Station, but it's infrequent.
To catch it: After exiting Izu Kogen Station, turn right and walk to the bus stop. The parking lot next to it is where you'll find the shuttle. Staff will confirm your reservation name, help with your luggage, and offer a refreshing cold towel – very thoughtful service.

The hotel package included dinner, a late-night snack, and a buffet breakfast the next day.
Dinner was very mediocre, I'd even say unappetizing. The pork was tough, the side dishes were cold, and the sashimi was overly chilled.
The late-night snack was Dan Dan noodles. Since it was close to closing time, there were drips of soup all over the inside of the bowl, which looked a bit sloppy. Thankfully, the taste was quite good.
Buffet breakfast was the most satisfying meal with a good variety.
You can walk or take a taxi to Jogasaki Coast. If you're only going to Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, I recommend taking a taxi to a nearby parking lot, otherwise it's a 30-minute walk. A taxi to Mount Omuro costs over 2000 yen.

To summarize: The toilet had a strange odor, the showerhead had low water pressure, and dinner wasn't good. Other than that, there weren't many downsides.

The room was spacious with a great sea view. Unfortunately, it rained on our check-in day, so we couldn't see anything. But everything was beautiful the next day. The hotel lobby offers complimentary coffee, drinks, and alcohol, and just sitting there enjoying the view was enough to lift my spirits.

Although there was a miscommunication between Trip.com and the hotel during the initial booking process, which resulted in not being able to upgrade to the desired meal plan, the hotel front desk staff went above and beyond to resolve the issue. They provided a lot of help and convenience throughout my entire stay, and the management was very accommodating. Highly recommended! The hotel is a 10-minute taxi ride from Izu Kogen. While Jogasaki Coast is closer in a straight line, it's all uphill, and you'll question your life choices if you're dragging luggage... So, I recommend taking a taxi from Izu Kogen Station to the hotel.

The room size is decent, and the sea view is quite good. There are a few lounge chairs outside the lobby, and the lobby offers complimentary drinks and alcohol. Dan Dan noodles are served from 9 PM and the variety changes monthly. The shuttle buses are infrequent. A Didi ride to Mount Omuro cost me 107 RMB, and from Kadokake Suspension Bridge back to the hotel was around 70 RMB.

The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for visiting the scenic spots.

I specifically booked their two most expensive rooms, and undoubtedly, you get what you pay for. Japanese hotel breakfasts are always excellent. The Executive Suite also offers additional services to make your stay even more comfortable.

This is a truly superb hotel. From the high-quality in-room amenities to the exquisite Japanese dinner served at the ryotei restaurant in the evening, everything was top-notch. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and the service standard at KANAME INN was consistently excellent, as expected. At nearly 1800 yuan per night, including both dinner and breakfast, this hotel genuinely makes guests feel they are getting great value for their money. A truly high-quality experience!

Facilities: Very new and clean. The only slight drawback was the duvet, which wasn't great – it crinkled and rustled all night, making it uncomfortable 😞.

Service: I forgot to take a picture of the Dandan noodles I had at 9 PM, but they were the best noodles I've ever had in Japan! No exaggeration! The food was super delicious 🤤 I'd love to come back again!

This hotel is located by the sea in Ito, and every room offers a fantastic ocean view. It's incredibly clean, and the service is excellent. They even provide a shuttle service to and from Izu-Kogen Station, which is very convenient.

The hotel features a large public bath, and private onsen are available for an extra fee. They also offer ramen in the evenings, and there are complimentary drinks and popsicles at the front desk.

We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which, as a heads-up, doesn't have an en-suite bathroom. We booked the breakfast and dinner plan. Dinner was an exquisite Kaiseki meal, primarily featuring seasonal seafood. Breakfast was a buffet, and it was quite good, with the added bonus of being able to enjoy the sea view while eating.

There aren't many restaurants or supermarkets around the hotel; the nearest Lawson convenience store is about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to Mount Omuro by taxi costs around 1700 yen (about a 10-minute ride), and to Jogasaki Coast about 1500 yen, both very accessible. The hotel is quiet and has a limited number of rooms, making it feel very private. It's an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended!
