Aibiya in Yamanouchi

Yoshi san and Seongmi san are the most helpful and friendly hosts you can wish for. Yoshi san is born and raised in the region and literally knows every corner and can tell you where to go (and where to avoid). Stayed in the en suite room and it is superb, with a very comfortable mattress and spacious. Highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!

The best location we stayed during our whole trip in japan!

Run by a lovely couple that also have their own shop. They make you feel like you're at home, and are welcome. They know the best places for you to visit during your stay and bring a energy like no other.

As I dont review much, me and my girlfriend would like to thank this place to show the best side of japan!

We loved it here! There is a really cute shop as you enter and then a very zen communal area and kitchen. The rooms have comfortable beds and everything is perfectly clean. You can tell the owners love and care for the hotel. It is also nice and warm and perfect location to get the bus and visit the snow monkeys.
I would recommend it to everyone as it's also a good price for the area. We paid a small amount to use the hotel nearby with it's rooftop onsen and watched the sunset as we bathed. Very lucky to have been able to use this facility!

Thank you so much Seongmi and Yoshi for having us and letting us feel so welcomed. This hotel is definitely my recommendation for Yudanaka. The two owners are two amazing person and created a very familiar atmosphere.
After staying in Tokyo it was real peaceful and perfect balance. You can walk from the train - and if you like, you can also walk to the monkey park (should be about an hour).
The hotel itself is spotless clean and the breakfast together in the kitchen was perfect start for the day.
Try the pudding from the store close by and also coffee from the store don the road if you’re here. Or ask the two owner who will share the perfect food spot for whatever you like

We loved staying at this gem of a hotel! It is conveniently a very short walk from the Yudanaka train station.Yoshi and Seong-mi were exceedingly gracious hosts. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfasts were nourishing and tasty, and full of thoughtful touches. The space was beautiful, full of wood, tatami and tasteful lighting. The bed was the most comfortable we've had in all of Japan. Could not recommend more highly!!

Excellent place to stay, clean, quiet, located in Yudanaka near the train station. It’s also not far from the ski slopes, and Yoshi the host is also a ski instructor, as well as his friend John. The hosts Seongmi & Yoshi were very helpful to advise surrounding places to visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Aibiya in February 2023. The accommodation is impeccably clean and very comfortable. Beautiful tatami mat rooms with comfy western beds. Both Yoshi and Seongmi are wonderful hosts with fantastic English. I decided to buy skis while staying at Aibiya and Yoshi and Seongmi went above and beyond to help me by calling friends at ski shops in Nagano and I ended up having fantastic skis with bindings mounted ready to collect the very next day - incredible. I couldn’t have done it without the help from Yoshi and Seongmi. Being able to access three different local onsen and with good value vouchers sold at Aibiya was lovely. For skiers it was also really helpful to have access to a washing machine, drying room (for wet ski gear) and Yoshi will even wax your skis for a great price. You can ski with Yoshi with his company Powder Geek Japan. Breakfast was a delicious western breakfast - I loved the yoghurt, granola and fruit. I cannot recommend Aibiya highly enough.

Seongmi & Yoshi were the most amazing hosts. They were so helpful with planning out getting our ski gear rentals, bussing to Shiga Kogen, seeing the snow monkeys, to experiencing an onsen. I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Aibiya Rocked! We were very happy with our stay. There were 1x couple and 2x males travelling. The owners were very, very nice and helpful. The place was super clean, lots of room, great facilities. This is a truly terrific place to stay. Highly recommended
