Tomakomai Hotel Sugita in Tomakomai

30 mins drive from CTS airport. hotel is very family oriented and very cosy. Staff are friendly and always smiling at you, making you feel so welcome. dinner and breakfast portion is good and delicious. they serve Japanese style. Hotel room is so spacious. We love the space. Futon bed is so comfortable. The public bath area is so zen and peaceful.

This is a great place, the rooms are cozy, the onsen is the perfect temperatur and the breakfast is delicious. The best thing about this place however is the staff, they are super helpfull and kind, the gentleman behind the reception especially was so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Tomakomai.

The Hotel Sugita is a comfortable and elegant hotel that our whole family loved. The large public bath on the first floor was spacious and very clean. The Japanese-style room is also very tasteful, and the tatami mats are fantastic.

This is a highly affordable Japanese-style ryokan located in the city centre.
The guest rooms are very clean, soaking in the large public bath is extremely relaxing, and the breakfast is remarkably abundant.
It is highly recommended.

enjoyed this lovely and warm stay. the staff was so attentive and gracious. truly appreciate the free parking provided and the welcome amenities kit. the bath house is quiet and filled with anything you need for a bath.

We stayed here longer than most usually do, I think. We'd booked for 6 nights, then added an extra night. It's pretty humble. The room is a 7 1/2 tatami room, so it's a little bit small, especially for a longer stay. But we made it work for us and it was fine.
The room has a good little fridge, a kettle, glasses, tea cups, coffee mugs, and tea and coffee bags. There's only a toilet and hand basin in the room, so we had to use the public bath on the first floor. It's also small. Only 3 washing places, one tub, and no outside bath. (This is the women's bath. The men's bath is bigger and has a sauna.)
That said, everything is spotlessly clean. The bath was always hot. The hotel seems busy, but I was often in the bath alone.
We could usually park right at the front door. The counter staff were wonderful- always helpful and friendly. We had fresh towels and room cleaning every day and the cleaning staff were also lovely.
We only ate once at the hotel. The dinner on our last night. It was tasty, varied, warm, and quite homey - like something your mother would serve for a special meal. We were very happy.
Finally, the price is very reasonable for what you get. It was like a home away from home for us. I can understand if they have a lot of repeat business.
It's also extremely convenient, with many restaurants in walking distance, as well as a convenience store.
We used it as a base to explore the area and for this it was also perfect.

It was close to the gymnasium, which was our destination, and they provided an amenity kit for women and had a small but clean bath, so we were able to get a good night's rest.
